Then it has to be Margie stepping out naked when Buddy sings about her in "The Right Girl."

"Buddy's Blues"?
Joe, I think I saw that production of Follies. Was that one with the all-Hassidic cast?

Ooh ooh it's what PJ said- I saw it somewhere when I was looking into performing "Right Girl". Love this show. I'm tired of people perverting it, as funny as it is at times. I did like some of the "Will and Grace" group idea- there are (were) one helluva cast tomorrow and I like the idea of Eric McCormack as Ben
If someone doesn't guess this, I think I'm going to die.

Did Phyllis get totally nude during her song?
Was it a nude Young Sally on the bed during "Too Many Mornings"?
Oh, that's a good guess.
I hope it isn't just the ghosts of the Follies girls. They shouldn't count.
Perhaps Hattie was stripping during 'Broadway Baby'
Or, more predictably, Solange in Ah, Paris!
And it's an extra tub of ice cream for Wickedfan.
During Too Many Mornings Ben stripped young Sally to her waist and fondled her breasts.
(hence my clue paraphrasing the line from Too Many Mornings)
Wait. OLD Ben fondled Young Sally's breasts while he sang to Old Sally?
Or YOUNG Ben fondled Young Sally while Old Ben sang to Old Sally?
OLD Ben fondled Young Sally's breasts while singing to Young Sally.
As I recall, Old Sally was stood behind Young Sally but some way off - not up close as in that photograph of the OBC where all three are embracing.
Sounds a little creepy, in the bad way.
I would have preferred if Old Sally had watched Young Ben and Young Sally, while Old Ben sang.
Then it would have been less Ben's fantasy and more Sally's romantic memory/fantasy of what it was then and what it could be again.
It was creepy.
I've seen Barcelona sung with April topless and I didn't have a problem with that. Bobby had his boxer shorts on and I didn't even have a problem with that - I figure he's the type who'd put his boxers back on afterwards anyway.
Wow thanks for pointing me to that clip!
I didn't know it existed.
What fun to see Jane Withers, Jerry Orbach, Suzanne Pleshette,
Ted Knight, some guy I never heard of and Mitzi Gaynor.
The fact is : Mitzi Gaynor can't act. She never could . She's plastic. However--she might do a good I'm still here or Broadway Baby.. You know--show up and do one song and get the hell out.
She's good for that.

Liza as Hattie?
Barbara Harris as Hattie?
WHAT DRUGS ARE YOU PEOPLE DOING?
Good lord...
You want someone for Hattie? Susan Boyle.
Kathy Bates should be playing Hattie in any film adaptation. How about Kim Cattrall for Carlotta? (I'm dead serious)
At the moment, I'd like Tilda Swinton as Phyllis Rogers Stone and Annette Bening as Sally Durant Plummer.
I forget which person it was, but I liked the idea of the American Beauty Cast as the jaded couples, but I'm not sure Annette Benning has done much singing and I don't like Allison Janney. But I'm keeping Kevin Spacey as Buddy and Pete Gallagher as Ben because that is GOLD.
Kevin Spacey as Buddy Plummer
Victoria Clark as Sally Durant
Peter Gallagher as Benjamin Stone
Donna Murphy as Phyllis Rogers Stone
and
focus Features should release it; I'm tired of big studios taking pieces of art like NINE and gutting their scores and casting big names who can barely sing (ahem)Kate Hudson(ahem)Fergie. For once, I'd love to see a musical like FOLLIES produced by Focus Features. After they did Topsy Turvy, I'm pretty sure they can do something like FOLLIES.
