Will there be a cast recording of this show?
Considering it is from the creators of If/Then and Next to Normal, it seems warranted.

It hasn't even announced a Broadway run(and many here say it most likely won't make it to Broadway). So why would they plan a cast recording already?

If they are targeting regional and school licensing but not a Broadway run a cast album is even more important. Who's gonna put on a show they can't listen to the music of?

Lots of shows create demos for that very reason....saves a LOT of money.
Which shows can anyone think of that have been highly successful which didn't appear ON b'way...or at least an incredible off b'way run?

Having a commercial recording still opens a show and score to a much wider audience than a demo.

Shows like Southern Babtist Sissys, etc have done very well regionally. The Great American Trailer Park Christmas Musical seems to be popping up everywhere.
