That's not a full list -- SHELIA, the "other" big role is noticably absent. So is Kristine. Still fun to see who they are picking for the other parts!

Great list - Tyler, Michael P., Ken, Brad are all great performers that have been so great in ensemble parts, they deserve this chance to shine! And Charlotte and Michael B., that's just icing on the cake.

Couple of Questions!

1) If Zach stands in the back of the house, how will the people in the mezzanine be able to see him?

2) When is it supposed to play San Fran.? I would really like to catch it there!

3) Why doen't it play the Belasco? It seems like the perfect theater! Not too big, it just seems to perfect for A Chorus Line!

Belasco is a bad house for a musical because it is far off the beaten path and thus no real visibility for tourists passing by.

Zach usually sits at a "station" in the back of the orchestra section of the audience (to the left of the light/sound booth). Nobody in the audience "sees" him unless the spend the entire show turned around in their seat.

And I don't believe Zach will dance any more or less than he did in any other production of ACL. This is going to be a virtual recreation of the original production, minus some lighting/electronic advances in scenery construction.

As it should be I believe! I don't want them trashing the show up with new effects and trying to modernize it..it was good then, and will be great now!

I'm so excited for this show to hit B'way again... my school just did it last spring. I was Vicki, in the cut chorus, and I understudied Laurie (Larry, the choreographer).

I like that there are names that some people recognize, but no one is going to freak out over anyone STARRING in it. Granted, Michael Berresse and Charlotte d'Amboise are 'names' but it's not going to flood the boards with posts like "OMG EYEDINUH IZ IN CHORUS LINE PLAYING SHEILA111" or something.

...That said, Idina would be a great Sheila. If she could dance. Which she can't. Rest soundly, oh anti-Fangirls.

Well, I understand how far off the Belasco is, but with the right advertisment it might work. But looks at the Lincoln Center. I just think that the theater is perfect for it, not the location though (I took that in to consideration when posting that). But thank you for that information!

ehh halyiaganitefiz, you made some good points, but is it really necessary to make EVERY thread a dig at Idina?

Really, this has nothing to do with her, you could have stopped with " I am glad there are no huge names." without having to insult someone.

So yeah--I'm so excited because I don't recognize many names there--It's reasurring that the show is cast with people who are seemingly unknown (especially to those outside the theater community).

I was fortunate enough to see Yuka Takara in the tour of "Flower Drum Song", and she was excellent. I think shes an awesome choice for Connie.

Mara Davi,(Maggie) who is an amazing dancer/singer/actress, as well as one of the sweetest people in the world, just headlined the non-equity tour of 42nd Street. She was bayond words in that production, and her sister Meoldy just recently took over for her.
