I have no idea if this is a reasonable request- I've never asked anything like this before- but: I'd love a signed Fun Home CD, but I don't live in the city and have no way of making it to this tomorrow... This may be too big a favor to ask of anyone, but assuming that one can get more than one CD signed, would anyone who attends this be willing to get me a CD and have it signed if I pay you for the cost of the album, shipping (I'm in CT), and whatever you feel is reasonable for your troubles?? I realize that this a bit of a long-shot, and I apologize if it's not appropriate use of these message boards... But- I would be oh so grateful if anyone helped me out with this! Thanks! :) (You can send me a PM)

Really wish I could make this. If anyone goes, please report back! I'd love to hear about the performances and if they give any clues about the future life of the show.

It was a really fun mini concert, and the entire cast was there. Before it began, two signed copies of Bechdel's book, Fun Home, were raffled off. It was so wonderful to hear the songs performed live again! What a talented bunch. And I loved that instead of singing to a prerecorded track, the cast was accompanied by composer Jeanine Tesori on the piano. Lisa Kron briefly introduced each song and set the scene. The cast performed Changing My Major, Raincoat of Love, Ring of Keys, Days and Days, Telephone Wire, and ended with Come to the Fun Home. Then the cast took their seats and signed our CD booklets. I was also able to sneak a Playbill in there! I asked about a Broadway transfer, and everyone pretty much said, "We're working on it!" I wish something was more concrete by now!

Thanks for the info! I hope video surfaces online - I'd love to see the performances and very glad they didn't use a backing track. Fingers crossed for a transfer.

I hope it happens soon, before Sydney Lucas outgrows her role. She is an absolute gem.

Every time I hear this recording, read the novel or watch Breaking Bad, I wish for Bryan Cranston as Bruce in a non-musical film based on the novel. He would be phenomenal, I think.
