Fairview begins at TFANA Jun 2

Well, what I knew happened but I was not ready for that entire ending. I was quite shaken to tears. It is a devastating piece with a lot to think about and sort out,

Saw it this afternoon and I am still sorting and trying to figure some things out. So glad I got to see this.

Also, I mistakenly ordered a student discount ticket on Theatermania. The box office contacted me to remind me to bring a student ID. I then contacted them to tell them I made a mistake. They offered me an "upgrade" letting me pay 17.00 above what I paid and I kept the seat I selected. That was very nice of them to do.

That entire ending didn't impact me the way I was expecting it to. I think it took so long to pull off that much of the initial tension dissipated before it was all over, and I could see it being far more effective in a smaller space. Also, it seemed that far too many people were way too willing to participate, which, for me, also lessened the impact

That second scene, though, I thought was an amazing technical and staging achievement.

What makes Fairview so great is that it really lets you do the work -- So much of the show is the audience saying "Okay, what exactly am I watching here?" and wondering what the bigger picture is. As soon as they figure it out, it flips the script.

I'll admit that the ending didn't have quite the impact on me as it did on others, and yeah, the show is really heavy handed in its morals. But it's themes have really been sticking with em. It was quite an exhilarating experience. I don't think it's the best thing ever, but I'll be thinking about it for a long time.

I am seeing this in London in November and am very excited.

Unfortunately the first review I read of it gave the whole thing away so I know the ending.

I am looking forward to seeing my other half reaction though as he knows nothing about it.

I’ve read the spoilers. I can see why it isn’t going to go to Broadway. Wish I would have been able to see it however

I got to go backstage and see how they did the second scene. (If it is the one I think you are talking about)

This could go to Broadway. The Helen Hayes would work.
