I absolutely positively LOVE My Junk. The harmonies and everything are soooo incredibly gorgeous. The Dark I Know Well is amazing too
I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.
way too many to choose from. I love them all, but I would probably say my favorites are: All That's Known The Bitch of Living Touch Me Left Behind Totally F*CKed The Word of Your Body (Reprise) The Song of Purple Summer
Yeah, I have no idea what my number one favorite is. I tried to listen to other stuff but just came back to it. Right now my iTunes Top 25 most played is pretty much all Spring Awakening.
"Don't Do Sadness" is a haunting song, and the duet/counterpoint with Ilse is terrific. It's also the song that got to me most in the theater, only Friday night.
Does anyone else hear echoes of R.E.M.'s "...My Religion?"
"I'm a comedian, but in my spare time, things bother me." Garry Shandling
This is a thread jack, but figured I'd ask it here instead of devoting an entire thread to it: What is "There Once Was a Pirate's" relation to the plot? I've listened to sit several times trying to find out but to no avail...
To me, "There Once Was A Pirate" deals in a way that they used to play pirates when they were kids, but basically this pirate guy is trying to get a girl or something, and has a hard time. Um, not too sure how that fits into the plot... it wouldnt be Melchoir and Wendla, I'd assume, but maybe Moritz and Ilse? Scratch that.
I really have no clue, just speculation. Never seen the show, just got some of the songs from iTunes to judge by...including the "There Once Was A Pirate" song
I can not choose only one. Impossible. I will limit myself to 5 though.
Mama Who Bore Me(and the reprise....I am cheating) The Bitch of Living Touch Me The Dark I Know Well I Believe
"Dont look at me that way
Your ears and your eyes
Got used to the lies
But you're getting the truth today"
"Ah the city. So many lights you can actually pretend one of them is shining on you."
CLIFF: "There was a cabaret and there was a master of ceremonies and there was a city called Berlin in a country called Germany - and it was the end of the world and I was dancing with Sally Bowles - and we were both fast asleep"
"Picture "The View," with the wisecracking, sympathetic sweethearts of that ABC television show replaced by a panel of embittered, suffering or enraged Arab women" -the Times review of Black Eyed
Before the CD, all I had to live off of was Totally F*CKed and The Bitch of Living, but now that I finally have it, it's the only thing that has kept happy throughout this whole week especially with final exams.
Like everyone else, I haven't even THOUGHT about listening to anything else but this recording ever since I got it. I love them all too much. And by all, I literally mean ALL. There's not ONE song that I skip over. Just to TRY and narrow down, these would be my current favorites:
Those You've Known My Junk Touch Me The Word of Your Body (Reprise)
I haven't gotten the CD yet but I love The Bitch of Living and Totally F*CKed.
Butters, go buy World of Warcraft, install it on your computer, and join the online sensation before we all murder you.

ATTENTION FANS: I will be played by James Barbour in the upcoming musical, "BroadwayWorld: The Musical."
Touch Me gives me goose pimples when Gideon Glick first starts singing..his voice is so pure and innocent.
DRS--I answered your question about pirates in your previous thread. There is no relation to the plot, that's why they got rid of it.
Here's a question: I think it's inevitable that a DJ out there will make a techno re-mix of one of these songs to play at clubs, etc. What song would be the most likely candidate for such a treatment?
