i'm really loving Mama Who Bore Me, My Junk, and The Bitch of Living...i'm seeing it saturday! so excited! and i know a couple of people in it, so hopefully i can steal a backstage look!
Spring Awakening has got to be the first OBCR in recent memory where I haven't skipped a track after listening to the whole thing once through on a second listen. EVERY song is incredible!
can someone help me: what is the lyric for MY JUNK
"its chill in the air but its warm in your arms...."
and then WHAT?
what do they say?!?!?!?!
it sounds like "they stop all snow lined"...which doesnt make sense...lol. HELP!

I love "touch me" when Skylar Astin is singing and everyone else is singing under him. And who can't love "Totally F*CKed"!
I believe,
I believe,
Oh I believe
I can't stop listening to this song!
"Totally F*CKed" is the best song to blast at high volume when you've had a bad day. IMO, it's a good way to let out anger and frustration, but also by the time the song is over, I feel better. Am I the only one?
love them all, but current favorites:
My Junk
The Dark I Know Well
Don't Do Sadness/ Blue Wind
The Word of Your Body (reprise)
The Song of Purple Summer
MY JUNK ALL THE WAY!!
Now our bodys are the guilty ones..
Don't you just love that...
DramaQueen, it goes, "It's chill in the wind, but it's warm in your arms/We stop, all snow blind." The lyrics are in the CD booklet.

All right, so someone already answered that on a different thread, sorry... Updated On: 12/18/06 at 01:10 AM
I love this entire score.
I want to see the show to hear the different arrangements. "Purple Summer" sounded SO different in the opening night video. When did they record? I sort of wish they had waited until after previews so they could get the final product on record. Don't get me wrong - I'm not complaining. I love that this daring and exciting show got recorded at all. I'm just really interested to hear and see it live.
I'm going to put in a little prayer right now for the show to last through spring so I can see it.
-Mama Who Bore Me and its Reprise
- All That's Known
- Bitch of Living
- The Word of Your Body
I definitely love this entire recording!

def going through a major obsession with My Junk right now I could listen to it on repeat for sooo long.
but others I absolutely love:
Mama Who Bore Me (Reprise)
Bitch of Living
Dark I Know Well
Totally F*CKed
I really love almost all the songs though
has anyone found their list changing?
or
has anyone realized they've heard every track atleast 50 times and can't listen to the cd anymore, so you turn it off for a day and the next day you love it again, but completely different songs/moments?
yay, i was post 69, i guess that works for this show
cannot wait to hear them all live! but from the cd, i'm in love with Mama Who Bore Me, My Junk, Touch Me, The Word of Your Body (so beautifully haunting), The Dark I Know Well, I Believe, and The Song of Purple Summer!

It isn't the CATCHIEST song in the score, but after I first saw the show, the music from "Those You've Knowm" was in my mind for days..

this is a bit off topic, but I'm very sad
just found out I cant go to the show on Friday night
the only other time I could see the show would be the Saturday matinee, but it doesn't seem likely
so yeah, I am soooo sad right now
Next time I'm going to NYC where I would be able to see this...next July

At least you get to go! Some of us can't be so lucky!
[ I feel like I just did the whole Debbie Downer thing on his post...can we sound the tuba noise too as the camera shrinks to my face?]
