Favorite Entr'actes

All the threads about overtures kinda got me thinking about entr'actes, which I think go under the radar sometimes. I love it when shows have entr'actes because it gets the audience back in the mood for the second act of the show. So what are some of your favorite entr'actes?

Mine are:
Chicago
Beauty and The Beast ( I like how it segues into the wolf chase)
Ragtime
The Phantom of The Opera
Miss Saigon
Little Shop of Horrors
"You drank a charm to kill John Proctor's wife! You drank a charm to kill Goody Proctor!" - Betty Parris to Abigail Williams in Arthur Miller's The Crucible

I agree with C....Chicago and Cabaret!
Jack: For your information, most people who meet me do not know that I am gay. Will: Jack, blind and deaf people know you're gay. Dead people know you're gay. Jack: Grace, when you first met me, did you know I was gay? Grace: My dog knew.

Golden Rainbow (better than the overture) and State Fair -- you can practically the feel the moment when the house lights dim!

CABARET. Oh yes. Also, ANYTHING GOES (on the 1988 recording)

Edited because I suddenly didn't know how to spell "Cabaret".

Definitely BIG RIVER - great choice.

re: Favorite Entr'actes

When I did BIG RIVER, we turned the Entr'Acte into a big dance number, since there really wasn't any dancing in the show otherwise.

re: Favorite Entr'actes

Isn't the GYPSY overture literally identical to it's entr'acte? The latter is just the second half, no?

re: Favorite Entr'actes

The Gypsy entr'acte (at least on the newest album) has a section that includes If Mamma Was Married. So, it's almost identical to the overture....

Chicago has been said before, but I will echo it because I so agree.

re: Favorite Entr'actes

I think the GYPSY entr'acte is identical to the overture, too...

Although, GYPSY has the best overture ever, so I guess that means it has the best entr'acte, too. Since they're... uh, the same.

ETA: Some people have said BATB and I was all "Whatever," but it just came up on shuffle and whoa, for real, way pretty. I didn't even realize.
