I said this elsewhere, but I loved Aaron, Keke, Vanessa, Carly Rae, and Julianne (my fellow Utahn).
Aaron and Julianne were great both together and individually, and I'd pay good money to see them star in a full-on revival of the show. I was particularly fond of Julianne's 2 renditions of "Look At Me, I'm Sandra Dee" (both the short Reprise and the long Reprise), both of which are sadly absent from the cast recording I found on Spotify.
Vanessa absolutely killed it as Rizzo, especially in light of the personal tragedy she'd experienced less than 24 hours ago, and has made that role her own forever as far as I'm concerned. Her versions of "Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee" and "There Are Worse Things I Could Do" will definitely be getting worn out on the cast recording.
I've liked the song "Freddy, My Love" on the previous recordings of the show that I've heard, (the film and the 2007 Broadway Revival), but the way Keke sang the song here, coupled with the staging, really endeared it to me even more.
I loved Carly Rae's acting performance as Frenchy, but wasn't all that enamored with the new song they wrote for her. Still, she killed it with the acting, so she gets rave reviews from me anyway.
