I collect programs for every show I see, as I'm sure most of you do as well.

My question is what is your favorite program and why?

My favorite is LITTLE WOMEN. It has great pics, a great design, and I love the portraits of each character,

The original production of Follies has I think the best cover art evah! Sweeney, Woods, and Sunday are close runners-up--maybe it's just a Sondheim thing

Im confused...are we actually talking about souvenier programs or playbills?

My intent was to discuss souvenier programs.

DRS.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Also, quick ?. Why is it that playbills for a show sometimes start in color, and finish blakc and white.

Example: When I saw DRS it was in color, and now its not.

Also, why only do certain shows ahve color and why do others not.

It costs more money to print in color.

IF the producers want to save money, the print in B&W.

Oh okay, thank you very much. I guess thats why all of the more sucessful shows are in color.

Personally, I like any program from a show that's over two years old, and has pictures of more than just the original cast.

The long running show ones are great, Phatom, Les Mis, and Beauty and the Best to name a few.

CHICAGO has an amazing program. Tons and tons and tons of photos from the different productions around the world. It has black & white, and color photos.

Not a really big fan of programs, especially when the cast changes and they have to use an insert. Kind of annoying.

My Mary Poppins program is really impressive. Besides lots os beautiful pics, there is a kit in the back to make a paper model of the house, it's very cool. Hated the show tho.

I love Phantom's current program. It's very nice....and I wish they would update Wicked's and Hairspray's programs, so much (if not all in Hairspray's case) of the cast is different!
