Dirty Rotten Number from DRS stopped the show for literally 5 minutes when I saw it. That song's a lot of fun.
"Downtown" from Little Shop of Horrors. When I saw it on tour this song blew the roof off the house. That last note always gives me chills.
"Out Tonight" from RENT. Though not "classic" I think this is the only song in the show that really rocks out and when Mimi ends in that pose facing Roger it's like you have to catch your breath.
"Petrified" from Taboo. If you know the song, this needs no explaining.
And "The Time Warp" from Rocky Horror. I was in this show a couple months ago and every night when we finished that song you could feel the electricity in the theatre.
"Petrified" definately!
I forgot to mention 2 Eartha Kitt Pieces:
"Moving Uptown" - THE WILD PARTY

"My One and Only" from "My One and Only" was pretty cool. Tommy Tune had such visual flair.
"Trouble" from "The Music Man"
"One" from "A Chorus Line"... it's such an emotional climax.
"Luck be a Lady" from "Guys and Dolls"
Much quieter, but amazingly effective, "Send in the Clowns" from "A Little Night Music." Just so powerful.
'Sit down, you're rockin' the boat' - Guys and Dolls. I just wish they'd record the current version in London as it has a far better arrangement than most of the other G&D recordings out there...
All That Jazz - Chicago
Roses Turn - Gypsy
Gimme Gimme - Millie
You're Timeless to Me - Hairspray
There are tons others but I'm at work.
