some additions
original into the woods - i love how the title becomes the threatening trees of the wood and most of the characters, though small are there - it really looks like something out of a storybook
curent revival of fiddler - nice and colorful
rent obc - just so different
oh and of course the rent poster that only has Adam - no explanation necessary

Posted: 8/27/04 at 1:28amHas anyone else here seen the poster for the London production for "Into the Woods"? It is interesting, it is a wolf's head with a strip of another picture, of a human's eyes over the place where the wolf's eyes would be. I know that doesn't make much sense in writing...

Posted: 8/27/04 at 12:15pmSome of my favorites are framed and hanging out in the hall. They're the Phantom poster with the Phantom's mask looking like a moon over the city, The Frogs, The Invention of Love, and the Follies Revival. I don't know if it counts or not, but I absolutely love the poster done for the 15th annual Easter Bonnet Competition. I've had that one framed and hanging for a long time!

I love the Taboo posters. I think there are 3 or 4 of them, and they're all really cool. The original RENT one is awesome, too. And of course there are the Avenue Q ones. Those are so funny!!
But, my all-time favorite has to be the Pippin poster.

I got my Taboo poster sitting next to me. *sigh* love it!
The Avenue Q posters are the best since they're the funniest ones around.
I like the Les Miserables one as well.

Thoroughly Modern Millie!
To be honest, this is the first poster I ever bought (signed by the cast at a BCEFA fundraiser), but I loved this show so much, I just had to have it, and it's framed and hanging proud in our family room.

My favorites are my two favorite musicals.
RENT (because it just rocks)
PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (something about seeing the mask and rose just puts me at ease)

Posted: 8/28/04 at 3:51amI'm with Magruder...No, No, Nanette. I have the original showcard that was produced (only 20 copies) prior to it's out of town tryout. It is slightly different to the design for when the show arrived on Broadway, with some different names etc. In fact I like all of Hilary Knight's posters...Nanette, Irene, Sugar Babies, Half a Sixpence and Lansburys Gypsy (the best!).

Hilary Knight was also the designer for the ebullient poster of the 1979 Oklahoma! revival, another favorite...

I order them from American Frame. I've always been happy with the frame packages I've gotten there.

I like Emutional's Wicked poster, too! Where'd you get that?
Altho, I kinda prefer the one they use, as it's more simple. Altho both are great!
