What is your favourite staging of a play or musical you've seen? Why was it so creative?
The Pillowman
I can't think of a favorite so I will go with something I saw recently. The staging of "A Prayer for Owen Meany" at the DCTC was wonderful.

The Little Mermaid did a great job of their staging and I loved the special effects...they were very "effective". I loved the prince's fall into the Ocean...it was really cool, as well as how they staged the water.
I am one of those who still think Tale did a great staging job...particularly the opening number (loved the use of flashing strobes, etc), and how they used the lace scarf in the transition of Lucy's marriage, her baby girl, and then using it also when the baby had become a little girl. The rest of the staging was very well done, IMHO.
