Feb 20th blackout?

Why are matinees on Feb 20th black outs? I was planning a short 3 day trip that week and hoping to fit in as much as I can. I suppose Fiddler would be open?

Not sure what you are referring to. I have tickets to the Anastasia 2pm show and The Prom 8pm show on 2/20.

It could also be that this is the Wednesday matinee of a popular week off from school so many shows are already sold out / close to selling out. Historically, shows sell VERY well that performance as parents bring their kids in to see a show.

Growing up, I always saw a Wednesday matinee performance that week with my family - we would also swing by TKTS at 1:30 PM to see it say "NO MORE AVAILABLE TICKETS."

Many shows adjust their playing schedule, for whatever reason. It's completely normal, especially for those two situations: Kiss Ke Kate will have just started previews the week before and they have a modified 7-show week, common for shows in early previews to implement changes and ease into the schedule. For The Ferryman, the new cast will have just had their first preview the night before, and it would be a lot to ask of the actors to do put-ins on top of an 8-show week for a 3.5 hour show.
