Final Decision

After lots of great advice from you guys, these are the shows I have narrowed it down to for my big 10 show trip in March. I'd really appreciate your feedback as far as how you feel about my final choices, or any suggestions you may have that I've missed.

Hamilton, Hello Dolly, On Your Feet, School of Rock, The Present, Aladdin, The Great Comet, Dear Evan Hanson, The Glass Menagerie, and Singin in the Rain (if it's open).

If SpongeBob or The Wiz opens by then I will probably replace one of the shows with that. I'd also love to see Gypsy and Sunset Boulevard, but I have no idea if those will be around.

I'm planning this trip for myself and a bunch of older ladies who are big on pre planning. We've already purchased tickets for everything that is currently on sale...it helps put us at ease.

All good choices -- do not skip Dear Evan Hansen. Amazing Show. No need to see Aladdin. A big tourist trap

These are all shows that the ladies are interested in. Do you have any other suggestions? And as far as surprises may go, any word on what those shows may be? Also, I don't think our group is interested in off Broadway.

On your feet? Get rid

I am a preplanning maniac but I completely agree with everything Hogan said. With a trip this far away, you have to plan to not overplan .... there will be two or four or eight shows you desperately wish you could see but your schedule will be full by the time you find out about them. Of the shows you mentioned, the definite keepers are Hamilton, Hello Dolly, The Great Comet, and Dear Evan Hansen.



You mentioned what else may be playing ..... who knows, but here is a long list of shows potentially coming this fall that may extend into next spring, and shows that may possibly open next spring (in no particular order of any kind):



Falsettos, Cats, Holiday Inn, Bronx Tale, Bandstand, Gotta Dance, Singin In The Rain, Diner, Best Little Whorehouse, Miss Saigon, Come From Away, Ground Hog Day, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Anastasia, Amelie, Bull Durham, Sponge Bob, War Paint, Chalk Garden, The Price, Glass Menagerie, Little Foxes, To Kill A Mockingbird, Vanity Fair, Othello, Hamlet, Saint Joan, Chasing Rainbows, Master Builder, Hangmen, Camp David, Confederacy of Dunces, Front Page, The Present, Photograph 51, Les Liasons, etc ...

You guys make a good point...if something like War Paint, or SpongeBob decides to open in time for me to see them, I'll definitely want to have room for those. We just want to see shows at every possible chance. That's why Aladdin is on the list (it is one of few that plays on Sunday nights) and why School of Rock is on the list (it plays on Mondays).

How likely do you think it is that War Paint will be on Broadway by St. Patrick's day? That's the day we fly in.

I think what I will do is make the trip a 12 show trip instead of 10, and will leave those last two slots open until later in the year.

You're only planning to see "Hello, Dolly!" once? What"s wrong with you?

One show I forgot... Shuffle Along. The ladies want to see it ONLY if Audra is in it... Will she be there in March?
