The theater community (I'm sure) has been waiting years for a film following these horribly rude and revolting people, especially this woman and her group of trolls as they harass people on a nightly basis.

Ha! Those comments are great. She's a despicable person and the line of "I'm happy to buy a ticket" is the most laughable thing I've ever read.

I have a stage manager friend who had her in almost Every performance of his recent Off-Broadway show. She will sit in her seat and unpack a large meal and eat during the show. You see her doing this in the trailer.

Her and her friends were in line near me to get into the ON YOUR FEET dress rehearsal. They didn't issue regular tickets for that, but rather colored pieces of paper with the logo, saying where your section would be since it was general admission. One of her awful friends somehow got a ticket and we heard them saying how they photocopied enough of them so they could all get in. And then they demanded to be let in first when the doors opened.

They were all gathered around City Center last Tuesday like a pack of vultures, trying to get people to give them tickets to Cabin in the Sky. Do people actually give these lunatics their tickets??

I told that crazy old white man off several years ago. He was antagonizing every single audience member waiting to enter the theater at STICK FLY. Maybe Shrek3 hasn't seen enough Broadway theater to come in contact with this psychotic crowd.

I used to work at an Off-Broadway theater and I was actually warned by my boss about Nicki. She actually showed me Nicki's picture shortly after I was hired and told me to tell her immediately if I saw the free ticket chaser.
I encountered Nicki many times. She is a terrible, terrible person. She sits in the front row no matter what and would get into arguments with management and the actual seat holder when told to move. She brings numerous bags. She unpacks food during the show. She sleeps during the show. She bullies people coming in for tickets. She bullies people once she's inside. She screamed at one of my co-workers and made her cry. I cannot say enough negative things about Nicki, which I know is an awful thing to say about another human being, but it's really the truth. I find the idea of this documentary horrifying.
The problem was that while she was banned from buying tickets, we couldn't ban her from entering the building if someone gave her their ticket. She never did anything criminal. She's also banned from TDF/Play by Play/Gold Club/etc., which is why she's always out front looking for a ticket.

Yup, Cochran is VERY well-known to house staff around the city- her old baseball cap, her huge Duane Reade bag full of random items. My front of house friends all shared this on Facebook, with varying degrees of disgust. One of my first jobs in the city was ushering at the Public, and she is infamous there for the issues she causes- everything from taking seats that aren't hers to getting into fights with house management. She is rude, disruptive, and frequently hostile to audience members and house staff that prevent her from getting what she wants.
As Vespertine says, she's been banned from buying tickets from the usual discount channels and has been banned from quite a few theatres, too. She trolls Showcase code productions in NYC, which allow Equity members free tickets if any are available before the performance (and she is an Equity member- don't worry, she has been to known to make problems there, too), and creates a fuss if nothing is available.
She may be a pitiable-looking senior citizen, but no one who works in New York theatre who has had to deal with her will have any kind words on her behalf.

I've had a few encounters with her at various theaters. Not pleasant.
I very much hope this film does not glamorize or otherwise paint her behavior in a positive light.

I posted one above. I have dozens more, as I'm sure most people who frequently attend the theater do. And none of them are good stories, I'm sure. Like Kad, my House Manager and front of house friends were all over this story on Facebook today and there's not one nice thing that anyone can say about this woman or any of her band of vulture friends.
