Finding Neverland rush

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has tried rushing this musical. How's the line like?
Does anyone know approximately how many tickets they give out for each performance?
Any information will be great! Thank you!

Some others have posted their rush experiences on the Finding Neverland thread. It sounds like if you want to be first in line 2 hours early is enough.

Got "the last" rush ticket today at 2:30; P20. Excited to see the show. I don't believe there will be much of an obstruction, the auditorium is pretty narrow.

Well thats good to know. Is the front row sold first? I saw it from Standing Room in Cambridge and would love to see it from up close if possible,

The press release for this says cash only and you can only get one ticket per person, just FYI.

I didn't know that rush tickets are only offered for certain performances...
Is it because they r sold out today?

"A limited number of rush tickets will be available for purchase in-person at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre box office beginning at 10am (12pm on Sundays) for that day's performance(s) only. Rush tickets cost $37 with a maximum of one ticket per person, and may be purchased with cash only. Rush tickets are subject to availability and may not be offered at all performances. Rush seating locations will be determined at the discretion of the box office."

This is from the official press statement. I would have been so upset after waiting for over 2 hours. This is totally misleading that at least 1 rush ticket is reserved for every performance. How hard would it have been to say "based on availability?"

I'll admit I missed that, but it should not say "A limited number WILL be available." This is not a common mistake that shows make when their rush system is based on availability.

When they say it "will" be available, I think what they mean is that the rush policy applies to all performances, but it is still subject to availability.

I just hope they could post a sign beforehand on the door saying "no rush tickets today", or something. So that ppl don't have to stay in line for two hours then find out there's no rush tickets.

Whether or not rush tickets will be available cannot be determined until box office personnel arrive.

If you go on Ticketmaster there are a hand full of premium, a few regular price orch, and some rear mezz seats left. Guess the rush is only a certain area of the theatre?

If a show is sold out in advance, I suppose this is possible. But in most cases it's not. Rush availability is usually determined day-of.

I strongly doubt Beautiful did that in the third day of previews. It's all just starting - hoping it will be more accurate and convenient as the show moves along.

A sign would be nice but it's not always accurate anyway. I remember standing outside of Cabaret an hour before the box office opened... when a sign was posted that there would be no rush tickets that day (so there was no line). I went for breakfast - and walked by the theater as the box office opened - still no line - and went it to see if they were selling cheap seats and I got one at rush price. Was it an actual "rush ticket"..no idea but I was glad I waited.

I am just happy when a show offers a lottery or a rush (and not a student rush - as I am too old to qualify as a student), I just hope for the best and don't expect anything.
