Brdway411, good to hear that u have another show lined up!
I didn't want to divert the thread too much but did u get rush tickets for tonight's "an American in Paris" as well? If so, how's the line like?

Don't waste your time with AAIP, It was so bad. The book is horrible. The music was good, the show moves so slow it's a snooze fest. I PM'ed you the rest of the info.

Thanks for this thread. I was thinking of Rushing next week but maybe I'll just use TodayTix for actual tickets. Especially after reading people waited in line only to be told no tickets. I'm only in NYC for three days so I won't risk it.

Hi guys,
I just want to report back my rush experience today 3/21(sat). When I arrived at 8am, there were about 10 ppl in front of us. By 9am, there's total of around 30 ppl, and it kinda just saturated with that till the box office opened. Both rush tickets for the afternoon and night performances were offered today. Not sure how many were offered total (but at least 12 tickets, since me and my friend were the 12th in line). I did over heard that there were only 9 tickets offered on wed tho, just FYI.

Does anyone know where the rush seats have been located? I know they don't set them aside, and I know it's probably different for everyone. But like, if you've bought a rush ticket, where was your seat located?

I haven't rushed it, but I've read some people were in the lateral front seats of the orchestra, which isn't the best view.

Yes, Valeposh is right. I rushed on Sat and got first row seat at the side.
I think this production is meant to be seen from farther away. The stage setting is beautiful.
I would probably try to see it again from farther away.

I got there at 9:20 today, was about 25th in line and got front row left side orchestra. Has anyone sat there yet? The matinee sold out of rush before me and they had two more for the evening after me. The two people after me got there within 5 minutes of my arrival. Can not wait to see what they have changed since Cambridge.

Right now there is no SRO, They may offer it after opening, but if they follow the Motown example, it will only be offered for tall people. The back wall of the orchestra is really high and they will not allow step stools.

Isn't SRO available only when the performance is sold out? I don't know if Finding Neverland has been playing to sold-out houses. I got a ticket at the last minute through the Today Tix app and sat in the front mezzanine.

I don't know why people wait hours in the morning when rush isn't even guaranteed. This happened with Aladdin when it first opened and stupid people would be waiting 4 hours in the morning. I never felt badly for them bc it was their fault. However, I don't like when shows don't have a set policy. Either you have tickets or you don't. It doesn't look good for a show to have people waiting for hours just to turn them away. It could cause a backlash if they're not careful.

It's not just MOTOWN, it's the theater. Every show that has offered SRO at that theater has limited it to people 5'6" (I think) or taller, because of the height of the wall.

Shows almost never offer SRO until after they open, and like atuomala said, usually only when the performance is sold out.

Isn't it THEIR time to waste?? Did they expect your pity?

It looks GREAT to have people lined up outside your theater. Passerbys have no idea if they get tix or not.

I don't mind waiting on line, I am not doing anything else in the morning and its nice to get out and chat with real people interested in the same show you are in to.

As for SRO, yes the show is selling well,
Right now the back of the house where the SRO would be is filled with the producers and such. That's why I said AFTER OPENING. I was at the rush on Friday there was no rush because it was sold out,or nearly sold out, I asked about SRO and was told not at this time.

I got Motown SRO during previews near the end.

I went on April 1st (two show day) and got in line at 8 am for the matinee. I was sixth in line and got Row A Seat 3.

I had understood Finding Neverland rushes were only for weekdays.  Is that accurate?  Does that mean not Friday nights, as well, or do they have them for Friday nights?  What about Sundays?

Apparently, it is always available, unless they decide at the last minute that they are better off charging full price.

Has anyone rushed this lately? And if so what time did you get there and how many people were there? What were the seats like? Thank you.

I rushed on Thursday morning..I got there about 9:30 and there weren't that many people there by 10 am. I got a seat in the 4th row mezz - but the person in front of me got one in the orchestra, midway back on the side. Weekends might be different.

You can only get only seat per person..even though some other theaters allow two.
