Sweet Charity with Christina Applegate. Best thing I did in NY that week. LOL!
The EVITA tour. I've sat alone before, just that was the first time I went all by myself!
Interesting question. I used to always buy tickets for me and my boyfriend, then I realized, he didn't enjoy every show as much as I did, so I just started taking him just to the ones he really wanted to see. This realization first lead me to see the Assassins revival at Studio 54 alone.

Apparently, theatre is a social activity because a lot of people give you an odd look when you say you went to see something by youself. Oh well.

givesmevoice, that was mine as well. I thought it was pretty ironic too.
Lastmidnight its strange you say that because I go to live shows alone and I know plenty of people who see live shows alone, but I can't think of anyone who sees movies alone. Anyways I don't think it is strange to see shows alone.
I think it was Wedding Singer.... before that I'm pretty sure I went with Famliy or School
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
Secret Garden - I was 11. I'd seen it the night before with my family and was desperate to go back. My mother walked me to the lobby of the St. James, and told me where to be standing when it was over.
It was totally fine with me. I of course prefer going with friends and usually do, but I have no problem going alone to shows.
The History Boys, I think. I don't see stuff alone that often; most of the time when I do, it's stuff I'm sent to for work.
Hairspray.
I was having a bad week and needed to get out of the house. So I just went and it ended up being a great experience and I ran into a bunch of people I knew during the course of the night.

The majority of shows I do see I see alone, although pinning down the first...I think it was "Amadeus" in 1981.
Wicked. Although it was a sold out show, so I wasn't really "alone."
Wicked.
PS strelimyn - I enjoy your signature.
