Few electronic devices have caught on in recent years as fast as Apple's iPod's have. Since their release in 2002, more than 42 million iPods have been sold. In fact, for the first quarter of this year, they estimated 100 iPods were being sold a minute. That's why you can't walk more than a block in the city without seeing at least one pair of little white headsets.
To celebrate the success of this nearly ubiquitous device, and since so many of us equate summer fun with listening to some great tunes, it seemed like the perfect time to poll 40 favorites in the theatre world with the simple question of "What's on your iPod?" Looking through the responses, what's certain is that the taste of those on and around the Great White Way is as varied (if not more so!) than the shows on Broadway.

Sweet! That is such a wonderful idea! Sort of like celebrity playlists. Actually...it may cause me to become even more broke than I already from itunes music....
Great idea and feature!!

This is an awesome idea!
Ooh! This is such a cool feature. Of course, if I were Stokes, I would just walk around singing to myself, but you know... Anyway, can't wait for what Julia Murney listens to.
What a great feature!
This is awesome! And yay for Julia being tomorrow's!

Brilliant! Thanks Rob! :)
I love Lauren's choices, and I must add one more "Chick Rock" woman who is on mine with all of those... Lauren Molina, her angry folk woman songs should be right there.

I have a mini so I can't keep a ton of music on there. I actually had to remove all non-showtunes off so that I had room for cast recordings.
The only non cast recordings I have on there are both of Matt Caplan's albums, both of Adam Pascal's albums, Anthony Rapp's album and Gavin Creel's album. Otherwise it's a plethora of cast recordings (including three versions of Sweeney, OBC and '95 revival of Company and both the OBC and movie versions of RENT)
My iTunes has a much larger selection, however.
Great Idea. Thanks!
Most of my iPod is Broadway recordings. I usually am listening to DRS or Titanic.
