I just got my CD in the mail today and the tracks on the back are indeed separated into act one and act two, but not disc one and disc two. that is the cause of the confusion. "The Rainbow Tour" is included. also "Another Suitcase in Another Hall" is in its proper place after "I'd Be Surprisingly Good For You", and not after "Buenos Aires" like in the movie, and as listed on Amazon.co.uk nor is "Eva's Final Broadcast" included as is also listed. The proper song list is in the link Margo provided with the exception of track 4. "Eva And Magaldi" is not included. Only the "Eva Beware Of The City" section is recorded.

For once iTunes UK has a musical that isnt available in the US! OUr selection is awful.
Sadly there is no second disc. A lot of the songs have been cut down. For example A New Argentina is missing all the recit before Che launches into "A New..." The same for I'd Be Surprisingly Good for You.
Hate to say this but as much as I enjoyed Matt Rawle's performance in the theatre his vocals are incredibly mannered. Its so distracting the way he places the sound. Also Elena does the score justice in parts esp Rainbow Tour and Buenos Aires) but kinda flubs on the Ebs/G bit in A New Argentina.
Still I forgive all that just to hear her lovely You Must Love Me and Philip Quast on another cd!

You need to have a UK postcode and billing address.
Just as I would need a US zipcode and billing address to access the far larger musical theatre catalogue on iTunes USA. So bloody annoying! I cant get Capeman for example or a million of single tracks here and there.

Also, for those with MySpace accounts...Michael Rupert is giving away a copy (or copies...sometimes they give away multiple copies) on his MySpace account as part of his CD Giveaway Contests. All you have to do is send him a friend request and then read your bullentins on how to enter. The contest does end tonight at 6 though.

got mine today, and LOVE it....but a question
I notice a section missing in Rainbow Tour, which was in the original Broadway production, the part that goes something like this, and Evita speaks it rather than sings it:
"who the Hell does the King of England think he is?
Tea at some tinpot castle of his,
What kind of invitation is that?
Argentina's First Lady deserves Buckingham Palace.
If England doesn't need Argentina
then Argentina can do without EnglandEngland!"
Why was this left off?

Posted: 8/21/06 at 9:37pmI have a lot of questions like that. like why they didn't record the "I've heard so much about you..." section prior to "I'd be Surprisingly Good For You". That's one of my favorite parts. I feel like they could have made more of an effort to get some other things recorded. Especially for Philip Quast. It seems like he just makes a brief appearance on this CD. there's ten extra minutes on the disc. I'll never understand who makes these choices and why they make the ones they do. I do like it though. It is, I believe, the most complete single disc recording. The accents took some getting used to, but once I started focussing more on what I did like about it I started to enjoy it more.

I just got mine today too. Still getting used to it before I make a judgement.
I assumed a lot was cut down for space on the disk, although CatsNY says there is ten minutes remaining? Still, I'd assume things were simply decided against for time.
Elphaba, I love that part. I missed it too.

I know that people are wondering about an actual US release, but I am in the US and ordering through amazon.co.uk was very painless. I used my regular account and credit card, the entire transaction with conversion rate and shipping only came to something like $20.60, and the CD arrived in about a week.
VERY quick, easy and reasonable.

Posted: 8/22/06 at 11:39am"Who the Hell does the King of England Think He Is" is in the performance, I'm sure it was cut for time on the disc. Too bad they didn't include it though; it was a great moment for Elena Rogers on stage.
