Hi all-
I no longer need these myself, so am trying to sell them here or on Stubhub. The tickets are for Thursday, August 10th at 7PM. There are three: Balcony side row A, seats 11, 13, and 15, and I can email you the tickets in PDF form. Happy to sell one, two, or three. I am just trying to sell them and recoup a tiny bit of my loss! Please message me with an offer if you're interested--just want them to be used.
Many thanks!
$275 per ticket for a balcony seat?
Ouch!
Put them back up on StubHub?
StubHub might resell them for you but if you're looking to make back what you originally paid that will mean StubHub will need to mark them up even higher (so they can make their profit) which would put your tickets above the market price and thus harder for them to sell again.
People trying to resell tickets are unaware of that theory so they try to resell their tickets based on the prices they see on StubHub for the same seats they're trying to sell. StubHub actually is paying LESS than the price you see on their website. The price StubHub is selling tickets is a mark up on what they are paying. Also, whenever prices drop shortly before a performance, it is at the request of the reseller not StubHub. StubHub doesn't lose a penny - the reseller using StubHub to resell their tickets is.

I know, I'm kicking myself for not waiting to buy!
I relisted on Stubhub but am worried I won't get any takers. To recoup I would need Stubhub to list at $305/ticket...I'm just hoping to get anything back/hoping the fact that they're first row of the balcony counts for something.
You would have thought that someone would think a bit before spending almost a 1000 dollars on theater tickets...
I saw the show last weekend, spent $99 on balcony tix, and to be honest, the show is worth only $30-50 in my point of view. I overpaid because I got to see Bette Midler. Not sure how people can afford to spend this kind of money nowadays.

I sold a $99 balcony ticket on stubhub for $175 and thought the person who bought them was nuts. To each his own I guess. I'd love to be the person who can drop the money for premium tickets to see the show.
There is so much wealth in this city. I have read that I live in the TENTH wealthiest neighborhood in Manhattan. The median incomes $161,000 - and that is with me dragging it down. Premium tickets are easily afforded by the bankers, brokers and lawyers who make this town move without giving it a thought.

You are so rude and obnoxious. You aren't helping anyone with that comment. Go ahead and think up a snarky response, I will let you have the last word.
To the OP: you have good seats, I think you can recoup some of your costs, but just be prepared to accept some loss.
But don't let that ruin your experience at Dolly! It's a great show.

These tickets are still available! If interested, send me an offer for one, two, or all three.
Great seats to see Bette and a fantastic cast in a wonderful show.
I'm sure you'll sell them once you lower it to a realistic price. Yes, I know that's what you paid. But, you can't force that issue onto someone else.
Hmm, balcony at the Shubert isn't a great place to sit (IMO). The severe rake of the balcony along with the narrowness of the Shubert stage means that you're often not seeing stuff upstage. The difference between balcony and mezz is huge. So I'd definitely lower those prices.

I believe you need to revisit a dictionary, for your use of the word, "great", is not close to accurate.

Okay, woah there everyone. I have completely accepted that I'm not going to get anywhere close to recouping the cost of these. I don't even have a price listed--I am just asking for offers. The original stream of comments re: pricing were about my original purchase of these tickets, which was on stubhub for over $800. No need to remind me how stupid of a decision this was, I've heard it enough.
I understand these are balcony seats. First row, no obstructed view. Face value is $99.
You'll probably do better on StubHub than here...
