I was on Playbill Vault and I saw this. Surprised there's been no word about it!

This was the only show that I ever left at intermission. After the third tango number, I was done.

do they really think this will sell??
So, wait...
It's $120+ a seat.
To. Watch. People. TANGO.
That's not Broadway worthy, I'm sorry.
These were very successful when they played in the late 90s and early aughts.
And while I never saw one (nor have any desire to see the new one) there is apparently an audience for it.
I'm going to bet this will be very profitable and that we'll see more limited engagements in the future.

thanks for the warning...
Actually attended a performance. Not sure I saw it because I think my eyes glazed over and a coma was induced for survival purposes.
If this is your thing...enjoy.
The last time this played on Broadway, it did not have one week where it made over 30% of its gross potential, and the attendance was abysmal... why would they bring this back?
As much as I love tango dancing, I don't see myself sitting through two hours of it.
I think it's just back to fill the Kerr for the summer until GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE comes in the fall.
^ Exactly... must be pretty cheap to run if they're bringing it back when it's not going to sell. I guess it's easier and cheaper to keep something like this running than say Jekyll & Hyde or Wonderland
That's not Broadway worthy, I'm sorry.
It is if you enjoy tango. I attended two tango shows, one in Buenos Aires and one in Madrid, and loved them.
If you can raise the money to be on Broadway, then you are Broadway worthy. There are no requirements of genre, subject, quality or fame.
I love tango and I must say I'm intrigued especially with Gilberto Santarosa in the show! I guess I'm the target audience for this show.
