Was hoping for the ABC musical event version and not the DCOM (because of the running time)... But I'm excited nevertheless.

I thought Emma Hunton was great in the show. Sad to see she won't be involved in this, but still very excited to see it. Do we know for sure if this is going to be the Tom Kitt & Brian Yorkey version?

I'd be shocked if it wasn't. Considering Disney developed it, released a cast recording, as well as the licensing rights, and are bringing back Heidi. It would strike me as very odd to commission a whole new score for the DCOM.

This is a really smart move on Disney's part. While the DCOM's have some nostalgic charm, none of them really hold up. I could see this being a really solid movie.

The Disney Channel is one of those channels that is never, ever, ever watched in my house.  This musical would be the first (and possibly the last) time that we tune in to watch The Disney Channel.
