The direct link also now takes you to the BWW hompage...

The announcement may be a false alarm, but it’s not a co-incidence that the date listed here (Fall 2019) is close to the Thanksgiving 2019 release date for Frozen 2. Even if Frozen Broadway doesn’t arrive in LA this early, Disney Theatrical will probably do something big to raise publicity for the sequel to such a major cash cow...

I wasn't even thinking about the sequel funnily enough, the connection didn't even enter my mind but you're absolutely right. (Although Frozen saturation of this nature is REALLY reaching breaking point as such that it's absolutely ridiculous) It just sounds like someone jumped the gun and someone else in PR had to step in for whatever reason. The link obviously existed and there's proof so I guess there's truth to it.

Posted: 5/15/18 at 2:25pmI'm not sure if I want to see this tour now with the neutral word of mouth surrounding the show. I did think the movie was beautiful but I am not excited as I was five years ago

I feel like this was a decision not made my Disney Theatrical, my like the rush job on bringing it to the stage wasn’t the choice of Disney theaterical.
This isnt a season like 2013, where Aladdin actually stood a shot at winning Best Musical if Disney could get all the Road producers on board. The show has also yet to turn a profit. Honestly the only thing that would make sense is the corporate synergy of Frozen 2 opening while Frozen is at the Pantages.
Frozen isn’t a bad show like the Disasters that were The Little Mermaid and Tarzan, its also not a great show on par with The Lion King, Newsies, or Peter and the Starcatcher. Its on par with Alladin and Beauty and the Beast. The difference between it and the former though was everyone went into Alladin with such low expectations because of Tarzan and Little Mermaid. I will say though that Frozen is probably the best paced Disney adaptation of an animated film. The night literally flew by.
