I largely like the cast (Patricia W is great casting), but am confused--is this actually going to be a tour or is it just going to DC?

I saw Christopher Dinolfo in Next Fall here and really liked his performance. That's awesome he's going to be in this.

It sounds like it's a full tour. I just think they're waiting to release dates. Me thinks the Arena production might extend, etc. if it sells well.

I think DC is kind of a test run where if it does well, it will continue on in other cities.

I'm surprised they're not coming to SF vs DC for their tour tryout. Lord knows we have the audience. Would love to see it again.

As to it being a tour, I think RippedMan and orangeskittles are correct. From the last line in the article:

"Future engagements of this production of The Normal Heart will be announced at a later date."

DC has a very large GLTB community, too. Plus, with the government here, it may help bring more light to the issues some officials have ignored for too long.

Fortunately I have a work commitment in DC in late June, and I just snagged a ticket for this show. I missed the production in NYC last summer (my NYC trip was the week after the show closed), so I am very much looking forward to this.
