The previously announced Alice Ripley and J. Robert Spencer will be joined by Adam Chanler-Berat, Jennifer Damiano, Louis Hobson and Aaron Tveit for the upcoming hit musical Next to Normal.
Good to see Damiano and Tveit sticking with the show. I really enjoyed their performances.
I have to second that. I'm especially glad Aaron Tveit is back in his role again.

Aw I was hoping Morgan Weed would take over for Natalie instead. Excited about everyone else though!
I'm really liking this cast...I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll make the move to Broadway next season. It has incredible potential...a good show that could easily be great. And whenever/if ever they do come back to NY, they can just engrave Ripley's Tony after the announcement is made. She is brilliant.

I'm so excited that Aaron is reprising Gabe. yay!
After that Tom Kitt concert on Monday night where Tveit sang "I'm Alive" among other songs from the show... I was REALLY hoping he'd end up sticking with it. He is amazing.

I am so excited that these guys are sticking with it!
I wonder when Aaron is leaving Wicked.

Yay! I am more than thrilled that so many of the actors for the 2ST production are sticking around for this prodution! My only question is...at which theatre is N2N playing?
I wonder when Aaron is leaving Wicked.
Well, previews for Next to Normal begin on November 21. I would assume that means he is leaving before the big departure on the 9th of November. Perhaps the week before?

AAAAAARON <33
I'm happy about Jenn and Adam too because they were very good, but. Aaron was the last part of my "necessary casting". He's sooo amazing
Bwayfan, are you talking about this production? It will be at Arena Stage in Arlington, VA...

^Just to clarify something on that note that I did NOT realize until someone pointed it out to me:
Arlington, VA is DC. Or, rather, it's one of the metro-north stops in the DC area. Up until literally a few days ago when I asked someone about it, I was like "..wait so is the theater in Arlington or in DC!? All the official stuff says VA but everyone is talking about DC!"
I'm just SO fantastic with geography that way- totally did not realize DC is like RIGHT at the border of VA :P
so incase anyone else happened to have been wondering the same thing, there ya go! lol

If it were to make the jump to broadway next season would Brian come back after shrek or would he stick with Shrek?
Brian would be a fool to leave Shrek to go back to this. The chances of commercial success for Shrek are far greater than the chances of commercial success for Next to Normal.

^ Unfortunately, it's true
I'd hope that he'd RATHER do Next to Normal, but this is a bussiness. This is how he makes his living. And landing the role in Shrek was a BIG deal, because it's almost guaranteed to bring in money since it's a well known name.
Next to Normal, though it is probably MUCH more artistically satisfying, does NOT have a good chance at huge success right now. I WISH it could, and I think that at another point in time where there's not an economic depression going on, it very well MIGHT have success. But right now there's just not enough people traveling to sustain original shows that don't have a big name to draw people to them. Don't get me wrong, I'm still REALLY hoping that Next to Normal will make a Broadway transfer, but even if THAT happens, it's still going to struggle probably.
So yeah, much as I would KILL for Brian to come back, if he has any sense at all he'll stay with Shrek where he'll be making a nice paycheck.
