I almost never cry, but PASSION, FOLLIES, and SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE all have hot button moments that bring me to tears.
Now, this is really inexplicable, but for some reason every time I hear "I'm In a Tree" from PRETTYBELLE... it's really odd, but yeah, it makes me cry, hahaha.
I know what you're talking about with overtures- sometimes an overture just gives me shivers or stabs at my heart. I was totally unprepared the first time I listened to the DEAR WORLD overture.
The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, A Chorus Line, In the Heights, Bernadettes A Little Night Music, Follies overture, Scottsboro Boys, recent Gypsy, Billy Elliott, La Cage aux Folles, Merrily We Roll Along, Into the Woods, Man of No Improtance, Ragtime, Gray Gardens, The Normal Heart, Raisin in the Sun, Elegies, Falsettos and about 137 others.
My list:
next to normal
Phantom of the Opera (yes, yes I am unashamed to admit it)
Les Mis ("On My Own"-"Without me/his world will go on turning/a world that's full of happiness that I have never known" gets me, so does "Come to Me," if done well, and "I Dreamed a Dream" as well.)
The Secret Garden (even seeing this at nine or so years old, "How Could I Ever Know?" got me when Lily says "How could I know I would never hold you/never again in this world?" I still cry when I hear it.)
Gypsy
Grey Gardens (a few parts)
A Little Night Music-the ending
And the Letter in Billy Elliot gets me
there are many others...
I can't believe I forgot to list Grey Gardens!
When I saw Les Miz years ago in London I pretty much cried throughout the entire show!
I also cried during "A Chorus Line" quite a bit.
More recently, I started sobbing as soon as Bernadette Peters started to sing "Send in the Clowns" in ALNM. I've always thought I'd never want to hear that song again because it's been done to death, but.....DAMN. She was amazing.....
I'll probably be crying the second NPH steps on stage to do "Company" in a few weeks because Bobby has always been my dream role for him to play!

Just reading these lists is making me tear up.
I tear up at most broadway shows for either happy or sad moments. The ones where I remembering really crying would have to be Annie, South Pacific, and Next To Normal. At Next to Normal I was sobbing so hard that the person in front of me turned around.
I also cried at Spiderman Turn Off the Dark but for a different reason. It was my sister's Christmas present and when we left the theater I felt like I still owed her one.

I don't cry too often at shows- I can only recall three shows: "Move On" in Sunday in the Park with George, the finale in Ragtime, and "Some Things are Meant to Be" in Little Women (saw the show with my two younger sisters...all three of us were sobbing.)
Lots of them. The most recent memorable one was 4 times in "In The Heights", the 4th time wasn't even a tear jerk moment.
West Side Story
Next to Normal
Kiss of the Spiderwoman
Ragtime
Rent
Miss Siagon
Man of La Mancha
many more...
Les Miz
Caroline or Change
Wicked
Into the Woods
I never cry at shows, (or movies or books or TV) but I came very close at In the Heights and Next to Normal, the first more than the latter. This is likely because there were moments in each show that were so relatable.
I forgot In the Heights. I was in tears at the end.
Where do I begin? A Chorus Line, La Cage, In the Heights, South Pacific, Les Miz, Nine, Billy Elliot, Wicked, and many more. I, too, am a sucker for overtures. I cry tears of sorrow, of joy,and of appreciation for all the hard work that goes into a show.
Oh God yes, A Chorus Line. Paul. It was a turning point in my life. Saw the original production and during his monolouge I started to cry and didn't want my friend to see me. It was kind of an affirming moment in my life. I left the show actually feeling confident about my sexuality but I still had to keep it to myself. How the hell could I forget that?!

Wicked during For Good and at the very end of Thank Goodness. At closing night at the Pantages in LA, Eden's awesomeness made me cry during Defying Gravity.
Les Miserables during On My Own and Bring Him Home
In The Heights during Everything I Know. Also, I was at closing night in NY and bawled through the whole Finale.
Can't be bothered to read the entire thread, but these are mine:
Sunday in the Park with George - We Do Not Belong Together, Sunday, Finale
Follies - Losing My Mind, In Buddy's Eyes
Next to Normal - How Could I Ever Forget?
Billy Elliot - The Letter
Ragtime - New Music (the cheesy running towards each other bit)
Parade - It Don't Make Sense
A Little Night Music - Send in the Clowns, Every Day a Little Death, Finale
West Side Story - Somewhere (Reprise)
The Drowsy Chaperone - Man in Chair's monologue before the finale (OH MY DAYS)
Gypsy - "And I can make you now!"
Passion - throughout
Spelling Bee - I Love You Song
Angels in America - throughout, espesh the final monologue
The History Boys - Posner's conversation with Irwin, Drummer Hodge
There's probably many more, but these stand out to me.
Never actually cried, but have had a lump in my throat at:
Blood Brothers: at the line "Why didn't you give me away Mam? I could have been him." The point of the entire show in two short sentences.
Les Mis: when the ensemble return at the end of the finale.
Sunday in the Park with George: at 'Beautiful' in the London production of the revival. Combination of lighting, leaves and actress....

For me it was the end of Hair when Claude is lay on the flag, also the end of Evita (2006 London revival)
Also I cried at the documentary (on the Rent: Live On Broadway DVD) about Rent closing when the talked about Larson.

In no particular order:
Les Miserables- Can't remember if I cried the first two times I saw the show, I'm assuming I did. I know I cried several times less than 2 weeks ago when I saw the tour (Eponine's death, Gavorche's death, finale).
Spring Awakening- The dad at the funeral
West Side Story- the end
Rent- I'll Cover You (Reprise)
Wicked- Defying Gravity. I'm a sucker for the music.
A Little Night Music- Bernadette Peters made eye contact with me. It was so amazing. I died.
Into the Woods- I tear up during Children Will Listen every time I watch. I also shed some tears of anger when they took it off Netflix instant watch.
Sunday In the Park With George- Move On gets me every time.
South Pacific- I started tearing up during the overture because it was just so beautiful.
Billy Elliot-- The part when he reads the letter from his Mother. I was sobbing

I pretty much cry almost every time I'm at the theater just because I am so passionate about it. But there have been a few shows that I was surprised to find myself crying:
every tongue confess (at Arena Stage)
Blood Knot
Movin' Out
A Tale of Two Cities
Sunday in the Park with George
Les Miserables
I pretty much cry at every (good) show. I most recently cried at Priscilla!
