Fun Home Los Angeles

I'm thinking that large gap in the Fun Home National Tour after San Francisco looks about timed perfect for the Ahmanson CTG subscription season next year.

When does the centre Theatre Group in LA announce there upcoming season?

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

I'd say yes...looks like a Los Angeles stop is in the cards. Can't wait!

Last year was March 9th. So anytime.

Wouldn't the Taper make more sense? I feel like that show would be swamped by the Ahmanson.

I should hope, but the rest of the houses on the list aren't exactly tiny either.

The Mark Taper Forum would be the ideal venue for this intimate show....the Ahmanson is just way too big!

I agree MTF would be perfect for an LA Production, however, if they've restaged the tour for proscenium theaters, they aren't going to change it for LA.

Next To Normal worked at the Ahmanson. If they close the back half of the two balconies, it's not too cavernous.

Let's just hope it doesn't go into the Pantages!!

If they use the staging from the public it's pretty beautiful. But they used the public's brick wall as a back drop so curious what changes will be made for the tour.

If you check the touring schedule for fun home, none of the theatres are small ones. For Chicago it's going into the oriental when it could be going into the Broadway playhouse. I would imagine they working on someway to make the show feel "bigger" so don't just think it's going into a small house.

@michellecraig are you serious? Of course it's not going to the pantages.they already announced their season. I have friends there that said only one add on is a for sure and it's going to be Rent for a week engagement.

I think Fun Home and Curious Incident are safe bets for the upcoming season at the Ahmanson. Something Rotten could be an addition at the end of the season, since it's launching mid year on the East Coast. I'm curious to see what else they'll put on. Hopefully some more remounts and revivals, like the upcoming production of Grey Gardens. It would be fun to snatch up the recent revival of Noises Off or launch some new world premiere!

Don't count Gyspy out yet for the upcoming Ahmanson season!

if we get gypsy, noises off, hand to God, or something new I'd be so happy. I'm hoping so because most of the new tours went to the pantages.

Gypsy would be a dream! And after the upcoming Grey Gardens and Follies a few seasons back, I wouldn't doubt it.

Russell Tovey in the show would get me to subscribe. I've loved him ever since Doctor Who.
