Future Roles for Susan Blackwell

I would love to see her as the Baker's Wife.
And Heidi as Petra in the Night Music revival would just make me happy.

Posted: 6/24/09 at 1:56pmShe would definitely be a great Violet. The trick is she can't really sing, so suggesting her for roles like Mama Rose is just ridiculous.

Posted: 6/24/09 at 2:08pmShe needs to do something where she can show off her comedic abilities and demand the stage like she does so well. I guess Violet would work.

Posted: 6/24/09 at 7:58pmI think she has the perfect dry wit, yet heartbreaking ability to be Charlotte in some production of Night Music; and her voice is passable so she could hold her own during "Every Day a Little Death"

Personal life?
I'm guessing this may be the kind of thing that can get a thread deleted so perhaps you could PM me if posting to this thread isn't an option?

Into the Woods Revival with Broderick and Blackwell as the Bakers. Picture their chemistry as very Everybody Loves Raymond-y.
And I wholeheartedly agree That Heidi should take over for SJB when she leaves 9 to 5. THAT would be genius casting.

I know she is trained in classical theater, so I would LOVE to see her play Lady Macbeth, she would also be pretty fantastic as the nurse in Romeo and Juliet.
I just really hope Susan and Heidi both have long careers in the theater.
I agree Heidi would be a fierce Petra in Night Music.

Please God, no. Please don't let Matthew Broderick anywhere near the Broadway stage again. I can't even think of a more bland, unappealing actor working in the theater today.

Never thought of Susan as Barb.
That could be very, very intriguing.
