I know some people might hate me for saying this, but I think the MAGA hat of musicals is Bandstand. Considering how I saw multiple MAGA hats on people in the audience.

well they must've been confused because the most out-in-front public figure connected to Bandstand was Dr. Jill Biden. I have a feeling you just didn't like it and this is your (feeble) way of throwing shade.

Well, I didn't like it for other reasons, so you might be correct. I did see a lot of MAGA hats at Bandstand though, so that's just a fact. But I'll relax with my shade for tonight.

I know what a MAGA hat is...

I know what this musical is about, and am familiar with its score...

What am I missing???? I can't for the life of me make any connection between the two. Why might this be the "MAGA hat of musicals"? Feel free to PM me. Really. I'm totally clueless on this

What's to "notice"? It's either open or closed.

And if Sayreville is the most disgusting place, you have no clue about the world.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

The audience skewed (not exclusively) towards middle-aged/older white males and is full of nostalgia for small town life in the 1980s. Much like the MAGA crowd. At least, that's the comparison I think was being made.
