It is hard to believe... but this is a different show. Two different musicals on this topic just played at the Edinburgh Fringe and the one transferring to the Criterion is the other one!

It’s actually a completely different production! (Astonishingly, there are currently three completely unrelated theatre productions in the UK based on the Paltrow ski trial.)
The Awkward Productions one has a man playing GP and is titled “Gwyneth Goes Skiing” and has been around for a few months now, the West End one has Diana Vickers playing Gwyneth and is titled “I Wish You Well” and debuted in Edinburgh this month.
Did anyone happen to see The Awkward Productions production of “Gwyneth Goes Skiing?
It will be playing in Northern Ireland when I am there and was wondering if it is worth seeing.
I’m so sad I’m missing this by a few weeks.
It's really a bare bones trailer but it did make me laugh.

I know she’s the personification of “privilege", but is Gwyneth loved or hated?
I have no idea if this an affectionate roast or what.

NYT covered both this and the other Gwyneth musical at the Fringe, which can give you a bit of an idea of what to expect if you haven't read it yet: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/08/20/theater/gwyneth-paltrow-ski-trial-edinburgh-fringe.html?unlocked_article_code=1.Kk4.1CYR.0tow48hnRcfU&smid=url-share
This isn’t exactly selling well
I saw this (the production Huss417 posted the trailer for) at the Fringe and wound up walking out about 30 minutes into it. It leaned too heavily on the same handful of jokes (that weren't witty or clever enough to deserve being done to death) and grew tiresome, especially after having seen their Diana one from last year. What an unnecessarily nasty comment.

Sure, right after someone explains “privilege” to you.
Any volunteers?

If you think calling Paltrow "the personification of 'privilege'" is nasty, be sure to avoid the NYT article posted above, which describes her as a "preening, out-of-touch celebrity" and has this description of her portrayal of the show in the thread title:
"Linus Karp, in drag, plays Paltrow with the drawling malice of a pantomime witch. She’s an entitled girlboss whose altruistic affectations mask a sociopathic character,"
"the wellness products Paltrow peddles via her Goop brand are acidly described as being “for rich white women”; and there are a number of jokes at the expense of Paltrow’s daughter, Apple Martin, all centering on her unusual first name."
