"In pre-production and in development for 2009/10: Chicago (UK tour), The Sound of Music (UK tour), Gypsy and Xanadu (transfers from Broadway to West End), a major new musical and two West End plays."
Hope this comes true.

I sincerely hope they also bring at least Boyd, Laura, and Leigh Ann over.
I would also love the three strippers to transfer with it, too.

V true!...but it's not mentioned in "the team" bit where Xanadu is.
I enjoyed it in NY last year but I can't see it going for more than a limited run here in the UK..Lupone isn't as big as in the US..assuming she'd be interested.

I could see Boyd transferring. Definitely not Laura or Leigh Ann (that's a shame).
They'll probably cast some London people in those roles - although I shudder to think of the incoming BroadwaySecrets begging for Kerry Ellis as Louise.

Well now we know for sure it's not, seeing as you're our resident London theater expert.
How's that Legally Blonde transfer coming?

"although I shudder to think of the incoming BroadwaySecrets begging for Kerry Ellis as Louise."
LOL, oh god.
I think Patti has expressed wanting to continue with the show. I don't know if that means a London production or tour will happen, but she'd probably be interested.
"This is not goodbye, it is simply fare-thee-well."
God, I miss that show.

Oh. You know David Ian's mouth pretty well?
Did you finally get cast as a backup dancer in FLASH DANCE??
Or did you move on to being a Sorority Girl in LEGALLY BLONDE?

I'm pretty sure it went something like this:
"Gypsy..is...ugh, god that's good, keep going....not...happening....GOD DAMMIT YOU WHORE I TOLD YOU NOT TO STOP"

Yes. That's what was implied, Pirag.
Not sure we needed a literal translation...

If it doesn't happen through David Ian Productions it will happen through another team/producer - Patti wants to do it, it would do well, and this is surely through an official source. Believe me.

I'm all about this transfer - and who would be stupid enough not to make this happen?? Seriously I have truck loads of people that would fly over from the US and see it three times (including me).

According to David Ian the show is not happening at least with his involvement, its also been removed from his site now (however Xanadu is still coming over this year).
Also you have to remember that Gypsy was never huge here in the UK, it always did a lot better in the US. Patti Lupone is also not a big draw here, in fact a lot of people here don't seem to like her very much.
