I guess nobody saw this because of all the Peter Pan stuff, but I'm stoked he's joining!

It was mentioned in another thread - the one about who's been away from B'way for too long. I said this there and I'll say it again, Creel is absolutely fantastic in this role - voice, heart, comedic timing. Everything is perfect.
I'm not a huge Mormon fan, but I would love to see Creel in this...

saw him in London he got an Olivier Award he was amazing
Sad to see Nic go over the pond, since he was so wonderful when I saw him at the beginning of the year, but I love me some Gavin Creel (clearly, evidenced by my profile picture). I'll have to see Nic once more before he leaves!

he is outstanding in this. He just kills the score - his 'I believe' is mindblowing
I wonder if that means Ben is also leaving. They haven't announced anything about him, have they?
No, but he has. https://twitter.com/BenSPLATT/status/540906660555161600
I needed just one more reason to make the trip to NYC, and Gavin is it!
Saw him in BOM several times in LA, and then again in London. For me, his London performance was the high-water mark, and the one I judge all Elder Prices against (8 so far).
So now, the question is: Who will be Cunningham?
I think we all kinda saw this coming..at least I did

Does he still read young enough on stage? I haven't personally seen him in anything since Fame, when he really was in his early 20s. Just wondering.
He certainly doesn't look 19, but he's not Ted Neeley in the latest JCS tour either.

Ha! Well that is a plus. I have stayed away from Neeley in JCS everytime because he always looked so old in the commercial and ads. I know I may have missed a great performance, but come on, he quite seriously looks like my grandpa here, and his voice has that older quality to it, even with the big rock scream.

Andrew Rannells didn't look 19 when he did it either. So what?
Exactly. I'd argue the same goes for 90% of everybody else who's also played Price.
Thanks, LizzieCurry. Guess they will officially announce when they have a replacement to announce.
with the shuffling around of cast members, I wonder if AJ Holmes will be the Broadway Cunningham come Jan. 6.

On the Tour cast page it has Gavin as the Tour Price...Confused?
Going to see the show in SF and wonder who will be playing Price and Cunningham?

Chris O'Neill is the new Broadway Cunningham as of 1/6.
The tour page won't update until Gavin and Chris leave, which their replacements have not been announced yet.

Wow. Ted Neeley's still killing it, yeah he looks older, but his voice has stayed the same.

I'm going to assume Billy Tighe is going to be the new 1NT Price: https://twitter.com/BillyTighe/status/540990100860313600
Cunningham... who knows?
Also, the website tends to be very slow with updating people on their cast page. Unless you're Andrew Rannells and Josh Gad.
I'm planning a trip to NYC Mother's Day weekend, May 9 & 10. Does anyone know if Gavin will still be in Mormon then?
Re: the Neeley tangent in this thread...
Looks like Italy did him some good. Here he is at the end of January kicking ass in Napoli. Looks much better for his age, and sounds better, than he did in the clip jimmycurry posted, which was from eight years ago.
