It was mentioned in another thread - the one about who's been away from B'way for too long. I said this there and I'll say it again, Creel is absolutely fantastic in this role - voice, heart, comedic timing. Everything is perfect.
Sad to see Nic go over the pond, since he was so wonderful when I saw him at the beginning of the year, but I love me some Gavin Creel (clearly, evidenced by my profile picture). I'll have to see Nic once more before he leaves!
I needed just one more reason to make the trip to NYC, and Gavin is it!
Saw him in BOM several times in LA, and then again in London. For me, his London performance was the high-water mark, and the one I judge all Elder Prices against (8 so far).
Ha! Well that is a plus. I have stayed away from Neeley in JCS everytime because he always looked so old in the commercial and ads. I know I may have missed a great performance, but come on, he quite seriously looks like my grandpa here, and his voice has that older quality to it, even with the big rock scream.
with the shuffling around of cast members, I wonder if AJ Holmes will be the Broadway Cunningham come Jan. 6.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Looks like Italy did him some good. Here he is at the end of January kicking ass in Napoli. Looks much better for his age, and sounds better, than he did in the clip jimmycurry posted, which was from eight years ago.
