Hey gays (and those of you that wish you were),
This coming Sunday is the big Gay Pride Parade here in little old New York. And everyone's favorite Basket Case (that would be me) is hosting the Gay Pride Extravaganza at The Duplex. From 1pm to 7pm, I will be providing color commentary on the proceedings, which will be broadcast live on the big screen in the upstairs cabaret space. It'll be like a gayer, less Botoxed Joan and Missy Rivers Red Carpet Special!
There will be live music provided by moi (accompanied by the bear-licious former drum major Ray Fellman) and featured special guests David Gurland (spectacular star of "Neurotica") and Gashole (the fabulous Michael Holland and Karen Mack). The glorious, multi-award winning singer Brandon Cutrell will be slinging drinks and belting out a few as well. And perhaps there may be a celebrity guest commentator. Games will be played, barbs will be made and, by hour 4, I'll probably been in full mental collapse a la Judy Garland circa 1967.
There is no cover. Just come on in and tie a few on (21 and over please). You may find yourself on stage with me!!
The Duplex is located at 61 Christopher Street at 7th Ave South.
