I get that she was joking, but I'm wondering what your reactions would be if this ever happened. Personally I would love to see Kelly Bishop on Broadway again if she did a reprise as Emily Gilmore.
The poor cast would have to keep up that Lorelai patter for 2+ hours, 8 times a week...I'm not sure there's enough crack cocaine in all of New York to sustain all of them.
"If there is going to be a restoration fee, there should also be a Renaissance fee, a Middle Ages fee and a Dark Ages fee. Someone must have men in the back room making up names, euphemisms for profit."
(Emanuel Azenberg)
Alexis Bledel is bland, but when Lauren Graham sang last week, she wasn't horrible per se. I watch this show weekly, it has kind of gone downhill. It just wouldn't be a very good idea at all, even if Kelly Bishop was there. What would the plot even be?
"I'm thinking about how if you took the W in
answer, and the H in ghost, and the extra A in aardvark, and the T in listen, you could keep saying WHAT but no one would ever hear you because the whole word would be silent."

haha the Kirk Song. well, Lorelai did sing last episode!
It's interesting to think about, I guess. I just find Rory to be so much of an unmusical character, you know? I mean we know she's a huge music fan, so is Lorelai, but she's just so blah to me.
The morning star always gets wonderful bright the minute before it has to go --doesn't it?

Well, Lauren Graham was in an a cappella group at my school when she was in college...
I don't know if that says much of anything.

I'm thinking about legally changing my name to Lizzie Curry...
Heh. Lauren has a theatre background too so it could work. Not that I necessarily want to see it.
Reading that article made me so sad. I will really miss this show. Even if the last couple seasons have been... not up to par. And for years I've been hearing about the last words Amy wanted to end the show with. I'm so sad the didn't work those in.
"This table, he is over one hundred years old. If I could, I would take an old gramophone needle and run it along the surface of the wood. To hear the music of the voices. All that was said." - Doug Wright, I Am My Own Wife
I LOVE and adore Lauren Graham. I realllly do not like Alexis Bledel. I would pay to see Lauren Graham. But still...a Gilmore Girls musical is hard to picture. I would prefer a Jason Robert Brown kind of music for this show..
I mean, Denzel Washington? Gun to my head..of course.
I'm not letting this Dawson idea just lie dead. Just picture it...

Oh, Dawson Leery Won't you look my way? I climb to your window, and hope and pray We've known each other since childhood But lately my thoughts of you border on the more risque
An off-Broadway "Love Boat" musical, with different guest-stars each week. I killed the boss, you don't think they're gonna fire me over a thing like that!!!!

I absolutely can't stand that show. I used to love it, but then I began to realize how much I disliked Alexis Bledel. Kinda funny to imagine it as a musical though. lol and Friends the musical would be very interesting as well.
