Hey everyone, I do hate to be one of those people but my family is planning a last minute trip to NYC the second weekend in Nov. and just wondering if Glengarry Glen Ross is expected to release a discount code at all or if full price will probably be the only option? Also seeing Drood and possibly Falling at Minetta Lane (My professor directed it!).
I'm going out this fall partly to see this play, but I'm assuming it won't have any discount tickets. I figure if it does I'll be pleasantly surprised.

the entire run is almost sold out, so id say the answers gonna be a really big no.
Salesman was sold out for pretty much that entire run and they still did rush tickets. Anything is possible.

My experience has been that when a show has a high-profile box office draw, you can't really depend on getting tickets at any price prior to the show. However, if you're willing to pay top dollar, go during the week, and ask for a individual seat, you probably will luck out. It may not be the best seat in the house, but you will get in somehow. Case in point: when Julia Roberts did that horrible Three Days of Rain show a few years back, it was nominally sold out to the rafters. However, at the box office, I was able to get a full-priced seat in the orchestra for a Saturday matinee. I'm concerned about Glengarry, not so much because of Pacino (not that I don't admire his work) but because of Bobby Cannavale. One more thing: try to avoid Telecharge for anything.

Yeah but salesman started drastically reducing the number of rush tickets through the run until they totally stopped doing it 5 days before it ended.
Maybe not during previews, but once the show opens I can't see why standing room wouldn't be sold.

Why avoid Telecharge? I live in Toronto and have always purchased my Bdwy tickets through Telecharge and Ticketmaster without incident. I have not been able to get the new Telecharge system (choose your own seat from a map) to work properly on my computer, but the old system seems to work satisfactorily. I don't know why our Canadian Stratford and Shaw Festivals have seating maps that work just great, and yet Telecharge cannot do it. Ticketmaster's seating map seems to work very well.
I'll be in town the first week of previews....how heavily are those sold? I remember being surprised that I was able to get a discount ticket to A View from a Bridge with Liev Schrieber and Scarlett Johanssen...last row of the orchestra, and I ended up sitting across from the director, who was taking notes.

like I said the entire run is almost sold out, one of the few times in my life I've paid full price for a ticket.
oooh boy. Well, maybe I should scratch this one off the list then. Fingers crossed, I suppose.
