Going Late to Flea

First of all, I would like to apologize for starting another thread on here, but I really don't know where else to go to get my questions answered. Originally my plan for Flea was to get there at 10,do Flea, see a matinee, and then leave the city. However, now it's looking like I cannot get to Flea until 12:30/1. I'm just wondering if it's worth it to still go at that point. I'll probably bail on the show, and I'm not really looking to win one of the big auction items (quite frankly, I'm just looking for a playbill from the 2009 revival of Hair, and that's kind of it) Is it still worth it to go late just for the experience?

12:30 or 1 is not that late. You should still go!

Going Late to Flea

I went last year late, it still will be packed but not as bad. Also, some shows just want to sell everything so prices might drop the later you go. You should still definitely go! I got playbills for a dollar last year at a stand by Wicked. I dont know if they were on sale or just that cheap but still! Have fun!

If you were looking for something specific, it may be gone by then... but in general, the later it gets, the cheaper things get.

I’m not sure if you would be interested but I may have an extra signed cast Playbill of the OBCR. It is after it went black and white though. If you’re interested, I can check when I’m off work. :)

Going Late to Flea

It's been so nightmarish in the mornings the past few years that I'm planning on getting there later in the day this year. My experience last year was basically that I turned up in the morning, walked up and down trying in vain to get a peek at the tables, went to lunch, and then came back and was actually able to look around.

You'll be fine. If you have a friend who will be there earlier, ask him/her to rummage through the playbills to look for that 2009 Hair for you.

As for me, I plan to go later and prefer it. Then again, I'm not looking for anything specific and I always love to check out bargains/deals.

Good luck!

Thank you for the link! I have seen that but would like to try Flea first to see in person.

For $6, I'd sooner buy that and avoid digging through tubs with all the hoarders for an hour or two Going Late to Flea

To late for against? It's pretty much a garage sale. Except for any really unusual or unique shows items, they'll be things of stuff available. Last year I was looking at one table towards the end of the day, and the woman open bed up a garbage bag, dumped a whole bunch of CDs and other items in it, and handed it to me. For a dollar.
