Yes it is an old topic.... I started reading it yesterday, not looking at the date and wondering to myself if I was having deja vu.
Nope, just an old thread I'd already responded to lol

Been backstage twice, to the same theater (grin).

BTW, yeah, I've been backstage. Kristin Chenoweth is a good friend of mine, and when I saw Wicked in the March of 2003, was it, she gave me the door code, so when the show was over, we met backstage and hung out. It was pretty cool. I had my little nephew with me, and she had to take a shower in her dressing room, so I walked around backstage, and hung out with the wig man, who is amazing. But her bathroom has a separate door from her main dressing room, so I left my nephew there. She put on the Into The Woods tape for him and he fell asleap in her chair. It was pretty funny.
That's cool ^^ The only times I've come close to being backstage was when my drama cast (last year and 2 years ago) went to the Bucks COunty Playhouse and the cast came out and talked to us. It was for Man of LaMoncha and Mame. The cast of Man of LaMoncha were unbelivable. They answered all our questions and we were joking around with them...they stayed with us for an hour, lol. Mame was nice too, but they ushered us out rather quickly.
anyone ever heard of that show..."Never been backstage to a broadway show?"
whos seen it??
I have.
I went backstage when the tour of "Wicked" was in Houston. My vocal coach was playing keyboards. We got to go in the pit, go up on stage and see and touch all of the costumes. The main Glinda dress is so pretty up close with all the beads and stuff. Same with the Elphaba dress. It was really cool. We talked to all of the cast, and Emily Rozek had her whole family there and they were going to go out to eat after the show. Her little neice is sooo cute!!! It was really incredible!!!

Twice - once was Avenue Q (Golden Theater) - a little creepy actually, with all the puppets hanging on the wall. Dressing rooms were tiny. The other time was the Flower Drum Song revival at the Virgina, went backstage to see a friend and briefly met Lea Salonga, though she was in a hurry to leave.
