Grammys: Best Musical Show Album- Page 2

I really don't think the Grammy voters listen to the albums in this category. I don't think it is a priority for them. My guess is that they usually just vote for whatever won Best Musical (Hairspray, Wicked, Spamalot)

Exactly.

They don't listen to them.

But HAIRSPRAY did not win the Grammy...GYPSY did.

Edit: According to the Hairspray website they did and Answers.com

It looks like they won in different years.

Yes sorry.
I mean the show that gets the most attention. And Wicked got more attention for losing Best Musical than Avenue Q did for winning it.

The Color Purple's album was the best OBC of the year last year but Jersey Boys will win.

There's no way anything else even has a chance IMO.

I think Jersey Boys or Pajama Game will win. Remember, Pajama Game has Harry, and those Grammys sure love him.

I think it's a great cast album and deserved to win.
Plus, if the voters looked at who will actually get the award, they will see that the award is for Bob Gaudio. Nice tribute to him and the rest of the Four Seasons.

I can't wait till next year's grammys...Spring Awakening had better win...Musically it's the most inovative musical score I've ever heard
