Grease 3?

Hey...I saw Say Goodnight Gracie here in MN today (great show) and something piqued my interest.

Didi Conn (who played Frenchy in both Grease films) was the voice of Gracie Allen. In her bio it says "Ms. Conn is the executive producer of the forthcoming sequel, Grease 3."

Aside from some oddball rumours over the year, does anyone have new info about this? Sounds like something is shaping up at least.

re: Grease 3?

Grease 1- AWESOME.

Grease 2- AWFUL.

Grease 3- Why are they even wasting the money? Theres no way its going to work. Stop trying to milk a classic for all its worth. Its beginning to dry out.

re: Grease 3?

yes parks, unfortunately for those of us around *back in the day* [1982, to be exact] Paramount Pictures mercilessly unleashed upon an unsuspecting world the god-awful sequel to their mega-hit "Grease", which was cleverly titled: "Grease 2". it starred Maxwell Caulfield, Michelle Pfeiffer [who has since been forgiven for participating in this and other trash she made pre-Witches of Eastwick], Adrian Zmed and Lorna Luft [who's the daughter of Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli's step-sister].

The movie made the original "Grease" look like "Gone with the Wind".

re: Grease 3?

This has been in the works for years. Never took off.

At one point, Brittany Spears and Justin Timerblake were children to "Danny" and "Sandy" - and the film would have tons of cameo appearances with pop stars and Grease alumni from the previous 2 films.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

re: Grease 3?

Why can't studios be happy with the hits they made with the original and stop making sequels?? I was very happy with the 1st Grease movie, how it ended so on and felt satisfied with it but then the 2nd one comes along and just hinders that. Same goes to alot of the disney sequels. What kind of storyline could they possibly produce for Grease 3?

re: Grease 3?

Sandy, Danny, Rizzo and Kenickie at the retirement home.

Sandy reverted back to her prissy ways and is an uptight old coot,

Danny is a fat overweight ex-auto mechanic,

Rizzo is an alcoholic,

Kenickie is a dirty old man,

gee what fun!

re: Grease 3?

I honestly heard rumors about the sequel. I heard that Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey were in talks to play the leads. Jessica would be the ORIGINAL Danny and Sandy's daughter, and I also heard that people were trying to get John Travolta and Olyvia Newton John to play the parents. Lord help us all...
