Posted: 4/4/09 at 1:41amI doubt there will be one. I can't imagine anyone wanting to record Lauren Graham's ridiculously awful, uninspired and painfully unfunny (not to mention badly-sung) performance as Miss Adelaide. Kate Jennings Grant is the only person whose performance I'd like to hear on a recording but she's not worth a recording of this production.

Posted: 4/4/09 at 4:31pmAh, I didn't hear that it might have fallen through. This was about a month ago we had that conversation.

I saw the same production the critics saw and that most of my friends saw. Lauren Graham's performance was just so unfunny and her vocals were awful--it was her acting and lack of stage presence killed it for me though. I mean, I'd be okay with a new recording if only for Kate Jennings Grant sweet and fiery performance.
The London production should have been recorded with its original cast.

Posted: 4/4/09 at 5:38pmNo! No! No! Graham and Platt were terrible and don't deserve to have their performances preserved at all.

Posted: 4/4/09 at 5:53pmEvery show "deserves" to have it's performances preserved. Good or bad, it's still a piece of Broadway's history.

I'd buy it if it came out...but I buy everything!
I would love just to have Mary Testa's part recorded.
However, I do agree that the London Cast with Jane and Ewan would have been better to have on recording.

I would like a cast recording as well.
If you are that unimpressed with Graham and/or Platt's performance, don't buy it!

Posted: 4/10/09 at 5:22pmI'd like to have a recording, too. I didn't know Lauren Graham could sing! She was great. I just saw the show this past weekend. I was disappointed that they didn't have programs for sale. Did they used to have them?

I can totally picture a record company listening to this, saying "Wow! This is that forgetable mediocre sound we've been looking for!"

Yeah.
The ONLY reason this should be recorded is to have Tituss's ridiculous vocals and the brilliant arrangement/orchestrations of "Sit Down..."
I would buy the entire album for that song. Soooo good.

Posted: 4/30/09 at 3:36amI think there are other reasons to buy it but I would rather have this than the WSS Revival. Tony makes me want to vomit though Anito and Maria are amazing.

Posted: 4/30/09 at 3:53amThey should just record and release a sampler CD with "Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat" and one of Sarah's songs. That's all I'd want.
