My main issue is the rap part, as a matter of fact. I hate it when artists promote their fashion lines, shoe lines, perfumes, whatever in their songs.

Oh my god, #1Elphie, what are you an English teacher?? There are way more interesting posts on this board than Miss Stefani's incorrect usage of English grammar...
I like the song - much funkier than the original and Miss Stefani is incredible. She's fresh, exciting and a welcome change from the likes of Britney and Jessica freakin' Simpson.
I mean, of all things, you just can't criticise a song for having poor grammar...

I am actually studying to be an English teacher. But that's beside the point. The grammar isn't my only criticism of the song, like kangaroo said. Kimmy actually highlighted one main reason; I don't approve of the self-promotions and focus on commercialization. And I feel like it's just too overplayed. I'm sick of it. It gets old. I really do admire Stefani for trying to add a new spin to a classic song. I'm a big fan of hers, I've loved No Doubt for a long time. But, unfortunately, this song just isn't working for me. Sorry if my obsession with the grammar bothers you.

I HATED the song with a burning passion. Then it grew on me.

I love this song and I love Gwen as a recording artist - but she does not have a voice that would hold up on Broadway. Live, her voice is pretty weak.

And I don't understand you people who are upset because she's singing about wanting to be rich when she already is rich...it's a song!! Not an autobiography! Does every song you sing mirror your life? Of course not. Do you think every song Bernadette Peters sings mirrors her life? Gah.
