When my aunt and I were walking by The St. James on our way to find food, the set for Gypsy was being loaded in. I took the opportunity to snap a few pictures:
And I saw the mirror and my aunt suggested I take a picture with, I declined over and over for fear of getting in trouble till this random guy claiming to be a standhand said it would be fine, so:

"Wow..I didn't think it was that rude to say...I didn't attack him for wearing it or anything...whatever I'm sorry."
Well the fact that he went out of his way to take the pictures, and then be kind enough to upload and post the pictures for those of us who weren't able to see this is really nice. But the best, and first thing you can think to say is "I hated that scarf". Not even a thank you...Maybe it's just me, but that could be considered...rude.

Rude.
Thanks very much for the pics. The set pieces look a little... cheap, although, I guess I shouldn't really be surprised.

Notice how both of your posts are suddenly updated with positive messages, not pertaining to what you said. Great cover up.

Not cool, B3TA.
Thanks for the pics, Clumsy.

Posted: 2/17/08 at 1:01amThanks for the pics, Clumsy. It's amazing they just let the set pieces sit out there in the open like that. They don't look all that impressive, but I'm sure under stage lights they will look magnificent.

Oh, B3TA is doing the whole "I edited my post and now I'm playing dumb."
Though I don't think he's really doing THAT much acting.
With Clay Aiken in Spamalot, all of Broadway is singing a collective "There! Right! There!" -Me-
"Not Barker, Todd is the only person I've ever known who could imitate Katherine Hepburn...in print." -nmartin-

Posted: 2/17/08 at 1:12amB3TA07--> It was NOT the first thing I would have thought would have been commented about in this thread, but whatever. It was rude, but unlike you, I stand by words. I forgive you.

Posted: 2/17/08 at 1:15amI'm sure they won't leave recognizeable set pieces like that sitting out there for very long--or overnight or anything. But over the course of the day, its reasonable to think that the stagehands can't just take it off a truck or whatever and right into the theater. I remember standing in line to get into Phantom while they were loading Les Mis into the Broadhurst, and there were tons and tons of cables in boxes, and there were small set pieces like tables and wooden boxes.

I feel like a lot of your posts have been like this recently and it's been bothering me. Be an asset to the board and contribute postively, instead of with needlessly mean, sarcastic posts. If you're going to be an *** for no reason, then do everyone a favor and just save the pixels!

Posted: 2/17/08 at 1:19amFor the record regarding the set pieces: The only actual piece that is viewed from the stage as it is in these photos is the vanity, which is Tessie Tura's vanity in the dive burlesque theatre. I believe the door is the back-side of the one also used in the dressing room of the same theatre. And the other piece is the backside of the train facade which is meant to look cheap as it is one of the props used in Dainty June's act.

Posted: 2/17/08 at 1:23amIn the first picture, the other side said BROADWAY BOUND, I wanted to take a picture, but I feared the entire time I would get into trouble for being so close to the set.
