Posted: 2/21/08 at 2:46pmUnfortunately, Time-Life (which is not affiliated with AOL Time Warner -- go figure) is responsible for the Broadway cast albums of Ring Of Fire, which may actually be released soon, after a two-year delay, and How The Grinch Stole Christmas, which has yet to be recorded, let alone released. So, may we hope they are more diligent about recording and releasing Patti?!

Not really a great track record for them is there? Evil Dead came out fairly quickly, but we've been waiting for Ring of Fire forever (so long, that I've almost forgot that they made a jukebox musical for Johnny Cash).
Why bother releasing Grinch, now that it's closed??? Wait until next November/December I guess.
Hopefully Gypsy will come out soon. Until then, I recently picked up the Angela Lansbury and Tyne Daly versions to tide me over...

If Laurents really believed in it he would put out the bucks(he's got 'em) to record it with a reliable company.
