The plus-side: a Broadway show will get more exposure tonight than it will have on most other TV programs.
The down-side: the program is hosted by Carson Daly.
Does anyone know what HAIR will be performing? Probably "Let the Sunshine In?"

Posted: 12/31/09 at 12:54pmI think "Hair/Let the Sunshine In" is most likely. It's gonna be a party atmosphere and "Aquarius" is probably a little too mellow. Either way, the cast is gonna be amazing!

Posted: 12/31/09 at 1:24pmThe cast's performance will be filmed between 6:30 - 7:30 in Times Square. It won't be shown on tv until after 10:00 (when Carson Daly's broadcast begins on NBC).

So they'll be on around 10 then? (I'm in a house of people who don't want too much distracting from their Dick Clark Rockin' Eve so I'm tring to figure out when I should sneak the remote.)

It was a bit lackluster. I thought the editing was weak. I don't see it selling too many tickets to be honest.
Could Carson BE any more boring and lackluster? Is he stoned or just in need of a personality? (Has he always been like this?)

Posted: 12/31/09 at 10:32pmI hated the heads blocking the camera angles and the pointless shots of the audience. It was an okay performance. I think there wasn't as much energy as there could have been and they should have sung "Hair" instead.

I wish they did the belting at the beginning of "Let The Sunshine In". When I saw Jackie Burns as Shelia she blew the roof off at the beginning of that song.
Overall, I think that cast's energy was definately there, but the editing was pretty bad. I want to look at the cast of Hair performing, not bored audience members.

Who is/isn't at cast appearances is not really indicative of who is in or out. These performances are normally strongly encouraged, but optional (as far as I know). I noticed Will and maybe Steel were also absent...they probably had other plans.
