And apparently, legal and I guess sanctioned. It is absolutely amazing. I saw them filming this when I was on the set but this is even better than I remembered.
This is not youtube.

re: HAIRSPRAY WELCOME TO THE 60S ENTIRE SCENE#4
Posted: 5/25/07 at 11:37pmI still say that the fireworks are just a LITTLE random.
re: HAIRSPRAY WELCOME TO THE 60S ENTIRE SCENE#5
Posted: 5/25/07 at 11:38pmi think they work-they are just to late.

I am sure that moment will be tweaked before release.
But I love it - becuase it is random. quirky fun.

Posted: 5/25/07 at 11:41pmThat's my problem with them, too. It's because they come in after the button that they seem so random. If the fireworks came in on the button it would prove to be much mroe effective. Maybe this is something they will change in while still in post-production.

I think they work better after the button.
And, mateo, from what I've seen so far I think John Waters would love how this has turned out.

Posted: 5/25/07 at 11:45pmIsn't John Waters still living? I am sure he has seen this film in different stages.

Yes Waters is still living.
He makes a cameo in the movie.

Posted: 5/26/07 at 12:02amThank you for posting that link! I didn't think I'd like, but I LOVED it!!! I have so much hope for this film now. I missed Harvey's voice, but Travolta was very cute acting wise.

Posted: 5/26/07 at 1:48amThis really made me more excited for the film... except for Travolta. I just think he looks and sounds wrong. His dancing looked good though. The choreography looks beyond fierce, and I like the art direction from what I've seen.
