"Just checked with the Box Office. There is no standing room for Hamilton at this time. He said maybe after opening but he honestly had no idea. Also while i was on line there were about 5 counter terrorism officers walking out of the lobby and talking with the house manager. Anyone know what was up?"
Thanks for the update on standing room! Awesome, let's hope they start doing SRO after opening.
Well, Michelle Obama was seeing The King and I the other night, so I wouldn't be surprised if she came tonight to Hamilton.

The lottery today was not quite the level of insanity as yesterday. Probably due to the fact that it wasn't first performance excitement and there were other shows doing lotteries. I'm really bad at estimating number of people but I would guess about 400. Thankfully you can now just go right up to the table and enter.
Lin and Seth Stewart came out around the 3 min warning mark and Seth told a story about Lin splitting his pants in front of Renee. Lin was also wearing an A.HAM baseball hat which makes me need to ask what merch they are selling. If there is an A.HAM hat then I must have it.

At least there are only about 400 people now. That certainly will help people's chances, lol. But still it is great that they are giving some people an opportunity to see such a brilliant work for only $10, and in the front row!

What are the predictions for Friday night? More then 700 or stay around 400?

How is the legroom in the front row? I've heard legroom generally is terrible in this theater which makes me wary of not being able to get on an aisle. You know, in case a miracle happened and I won.

I won last night. They didn't require the guest to wear the wristband, or even be present, just the winner. The legroom was a little tight, and I am quite short.

John, congrats! What did you think of the show, and how was the view? Did you feel you were too close, or was it good?

I think what helped ease the craziness of the lottery last night was that they started accepting entries at 5, as opposed to 5:30, according to some friends who entered (I again was only a passerby). I assume they'll be making procedural tweaks this week to make the process easier and less congested.

I love the whole show. There didn't seem to be many changes from the run downtown. The view was great and the stage isn't to high. I could see everyone's shoes the entire show, and like I said I am short. I really loved being so close, but I usually do. It is probably much closer than most would prefer to sit, but for $10 you're not going to find a better deal.

John, did you happen to notice an additional song for the ladies? Lin-Manuel tweeted a couple of weeks ago that he was writing something new for them. Just curious.

The SRO seats were actually $40.
Also, Miranda came out once again, and brought Groff along with him. They rapped, adorably.

Sorry I fixed it. I was at the back of the crowd and heard $20. I was wondering why the crowd groaned when they announced the price.

"It would be cool if they switched to an online lottery"
And just throw away all that publicity? They'd never go for it.

$40 for lotto'd partial view SRO...that really blows. I would totally be willing to line up for them. It's a real shame that it's a lotto.

Did anyone record the rap? Miranda tweeted earlier there would be something special at the lotto and I love that they're having so much fun with this. I hope someone caught it on film.

Oh thank you. I'm so glad I asked! These guys are so adorable. And they're having so much fun. I feel like it's what my old theater friends and I would have been like if we made a musical. Except, you know, these guys have talent and stuff.

To whoever asked about a new song for the ladies:
There was no new song, just some extra riffs in their enterance song (about new York). Some cool girl group 3 part riffs. (Similar to what they did at the Easter Bonnet this year).

I'm not sure it'll be a lotto for SRO going forward. This seemed like a last-minute decision. I think they're testing things.

If standing room is a lotto I could understand why, even though it would be much more appealing if it wasn't.

Yikes, I do sincerely hope SRO isn't lotto in the future, and I seriously hope it isn't $40 in the future. That's steep for partial view standing room.

To be fair, it seems as those its partial view vertically, with some of the set cut off at the top. At the Public, at least, not much took place on the second level of the set.
