Saw this at a private showing. Great for the whoooole family, young'uns & all.
Yup. There's dancing. I kept scratching my head saying to myself, "Did Greg Hines work on this before he passed?" I got my answer in the scroll. Savion Glover did it.
Go & enjoy!

A couple of my friends have been obsessed with this since they saw the very first movie trailer. I kind of hope it's awful and they get really disappointed...wow that sounds bitter.
Wow! Is that schadenfruede?
On the happy side, I think it's gonna be a hit!

I heard Savion Glover did the tap for it (motion capture).

My friend's song is featured in the movie, well the credits. Her name is Gia Farrell and the song is called Hit Me Up. Check out her myspace.

ld, all good things for your friend. I'm 1 of those people who watch till the last frame rolls. Enjoyed the song....

Am I the only one wondering why this is on the main board?

Major disappointment. Basically one long music video without visual variety, plot, interesting characters, or any emotional payoff. Another soulless Hollywood product passing itself off as
'family entertainment.' Shame on you, George Miller, who should know better.

This movie had 4 endings. They couldn't decide which was best so they just kinda stuck all of them in there.

Re the ending(s), interestingly the aud cheered when the story line was tied up @ the showing I attended. I must say again how much I enjoyed the show. I'm guessing it would be good for 6 yr olds & up.
& for those not interested in the film or this thread, pls feel free to skip reading my posts.

I've heard a lot of positive things about the movie. It seems like it actually has something to say. I've seen people compare it to Babe: Pig in the City.
To quote a favorite '80's band...
"The message is perfectly simple....the meaning is clear...."
It does have something to say, and at times a bit over the head, but all in all it's a delightful film. The CGI is amazing, especially the Sea Elephants. Funny, touching, toe tapping...what else do you want for a family Holiday movie. PLUS, it has Penguins!!!! Can't ask for much else.
PS: #1 at the Box Office! So it must be doing something right.
I loved it. I hope it wins the Oscar over CARS. CARS was well made, but it really didn't do anything for me. I loved this movie.

Wait munk, what about Flushed Away? I mean I didn't see either Cars or Happy Feet, but I thought that Flushed Away was just superb. I'm such an Aardman fan, I just love their work especially Wallace and Gromit.
Anyway, I want to see Happy Feet, but because Robin Williams is in it. That was the same reason for me wanting to see Robots cause he was in it.
I haven't seen FLUSHED AWAY yet, and I don't really want to. It just doesn't appeal to me.
I also enjoyed MONSTER HOUSE and OVER THE HEDGE. I thought they were better films than CARS as well. CARS was beautifully and solidly made, but the story line did absolutely nothing for me. It was boring and far too long.

I've only seen two animated films this year, Flushed Away and Over The Hedge, and I loved both. Cars doesn't appeal to me in anyway. Usually I do like the animated films, and usually Disney does better with their cartoons then with their live action films with the exception being the Pirates movies.
In the previews, commercials, trailers, there was just nothing appealing about Cars to me. Now, BEE Movie looks good, I can't wait for that one.
What is BEE?

I think it's a new animated movie about a Bee Keeper, am I right? I heard something about it.

The ONLY redeeming quality this film had was the trailer for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Milla, one might try to skip reading your posts, but that doesn't mean they belong on the main thread. It's clearly off-topic.
