Good morning Baltimore
I got love
I just can't wait to be king
Put on your Sunday clothes
I think I'm gonna like it here
Out tonight
I got rhythm
Dis-donc
Singin' in the rain
Beyond my wildest dreams
If this isn't love
There once was a man
I feel pretty
The trolley song
What happened to me tonight
I can't be bothered now

What a great gift, so personal. I trust your teacher will be touched.
I would love to see the final playlist.

The opening number and finale to "Legally Blonde" always put me in a good mood. Ditto for "The Way Back to Then" from [title of show]
Oh, I Can't Be Bothered Now is a good suggestion! And Everything's Coming Up Roses.

I this former teacher the mix cd type?
"I Think I May Want To Remember Today" from Starting Here, Staring Now
I just saw "Hair" for the first time, in a top-notch local production. (For those of you in the DC area, hie thee to the Keegan theater to see it). I don't think "Let the Sunshine In" would work, now that I knowe the context of the song -- to cheer up a grief-stricken group of friends.
There must be something from "Annie," but I can't think what. There's "Oh What a Beautiful Morning," from Oklahoma. "I whistle a happy tune," from the King and I, might work, even though it's more of a song for the singers to keep up their courage. (That might be perfect for someone who is recovering).
I would DEFINITELY stay away from "Les Miz", POTO, and "Man of La Mancha" for this project.
I'm sure your thoughtful gift will cheer your teacher immensely.
Get Happy!
